Eastbourne, Mallorca and Bad Homburg predictions and best bets for June 25th

Wimbledon is now a week away and that means that things are about to heat up. There are grass-court events in all different parts of the world (Eastbourne, Mallorca and Bad Homburg), and there are also some Challenger-level events being played. I’ll be taking a bit of a scattered approach over the next few days, taking advantage of the insane amount of tennis to find value wherever I can. Below you’ll find some tennis best bets for the Mallorca Championships in Spain and the Rothesay International in Great Britain for Tuesday, June 25th.

I’m going to quickly hit on some of my favorite picks below, but I usually have a lot more tennis predictions on the Pro Picks page. I also occasionally add some picks throughout the day, as schedules can get wonky with the international nature of the sport. I also like to see how odds are moving. That said, keep checking the page every couple of hours if you want more of my picks.

2024 Record: 421-422 (+43.38 units)

Alex Michelsen vs. Adrian Mannarino – Mallorca

Mannarino beat Michelsen 6-2, 6-4 in Newport last year. On top of that, the lefty is the higher ranked player between these two. That’s why he’s a small favorite entering this match. But Mannarino has been a complete disaster recently. The Frenchman has lost 12 of his last 14 matches, and that includes back-to-back losses on grass. Meanwhile, Michelsen is only getting better and better, and the young American has won three of his last four matches. Now, I think that Michelsen’s power will be too much for Mannarino, who no longer has his usual rally tolerance. If Mannarino can’t extend rallies long enough to extract some errors out of Michelsen’s racquet, there’s really not much he can do to win this match. It would take an uncharacteristically flawless serving performance for Mannarino to find a way here, but he hasn’t been serving well in recent months. His return game is also a nightmare, which isn’t what you want on grass.

Bet: Michelsen ML (-105 – 1.5 units)

Arthur Rinderknech vs. Flavio Cobolli – Eastbourne

Cobolli is a highly talented player and probably has more overall talent than Rinderknech. But I like the Frenchman’s simplistic game to get him through to the next round in Eastbourne. Rinderknech has the ability to rack up holds rather easily, and he’s also a dangerous player at the net. That should allow him to keep points short and avoid having his forehand exposed. Cobolli has also played just two career grass-court matches, so it’s not like he can expose Rinderknech’s lack of experience on this surface. With that in mind, this is shaping up like a good matchup for Rinderknech, who has quietly flashed some decent form over the last couple of weeks. Cobolli has had trouble with big servers over the last two weeks, and Rinderknech’s serve has been great this season.

Bet: Rinderknech ML (-138 – 1.5 units)

Katerina Siniakova vs. Liudmila Samsonova – Bad Homburg

This is going to be a fun match to watch, as both of these players thrive in faster conditions. There’s going to be some serious ball bashing in this one, and I came pretty close to taking Siniakova to win on the moneyline. But I ultimately just felt better about this being a pretty lengthy match, so I’m going with the Over instead. Siniakova’s last two matches have gone to three sets, and Samsonova has gone Over 21.5 games in four of her last five. So, I’d rather not have to worry about who wins this one. I’ll just hope that whoever wins the first set ends up losing the second. Or, a tiebreaker in a straight-set match would work.

Bet: Over 21.5 Games (-138 – 2 units)
