Tulane (13-11) has dropped five of their last six games and just fell to SMU 87-79. On the flip side, East Carolina (13-12) has won two straight and just brushed aside Wichita State 68-55. This line opened with East Carolina listed as a 1-point home favorite. Sharps have pounced on East Carolina laying the short chalk at home, steaming East Carolina up from -1 to -2.5. East Carolina is receiving 66% of spread bets and 75% of spread dollars, signaling a heavy combination of both Pro and Joe support. East Carolina has a big edge on defense, allowing just 68 PPG compared to 80 PPG allowed by Tulane. East Carolina is also far better in terms of offensive rebound percentage (33% vs 20%). East Carolina is 10-7 home while Tulane is 2-5 on the road. Those looking to follow the sharp move but wary of laying the points in what could be a tight game may prefer to back East Carolina on the moneyline at -145. East Carolina is receiving roughly 70% of moneyline bets and dollars. American Athletic home favorites are 44-13 (77%) straight up in conference play this season.

3 p.m. ET: Northwestern at Indiana (-2, 137)

Northwestern (17-8) just saw their two-game win streak come to an end, falling to Rutgers 63-60. Meanwhile, Indiana (14-10) has rotated wins and losses over their last four games and just fell to Purdue 79-59. This line opened with Northwestern listed as a short 1-point road favorite. Pros have gotten down hard on Indiana, flipping the Hoosiers from +1 to -2. In other words, we are seeing sharp “dog to favorite” line movement on Indiana. Indiana is receiving 57% of spread bets but 66% of spread dollars, signaling modest public support but also heavy sharp action in their favor. Indiana has the better field goal percentage (47% vs 46%) and better rebounding (35 RPG vs 31 RPG). Indiana is 10-3 at home while Northwestern is 2-6 on the road. Pros seems to be targeting Indiana on the moneyline at -130, as the Hoosiers are receiving only 41% of moneyline bets but 61% of moneyline dollars, a sharp contrarian bet split. Big 10 home favorites are 56-16 (78%) straight up in conference play this season.

6:30 p.m. ET: Rutgers at Minnesota (-4, 134)

Rutgers (14-10) has won four straight games and just edged Northwestern 63-60. Conversely, Minnesota (15-9) has lost two straight and just fell to Purdue 84-76. This line opened with Minnesota listed as a 3-point home favorite. Sharps have laid the chalk with the Gophers at home, driving Minnesota up from -3 to -4. Minnesota is receiving 68% of spread bets but 81% of spread dollars, further evidence of both public and sharp support in their favor. Minnesota is far better in terms of offensive efficiency (87th vs 289th), effective field goal percentage (54% vs 44%), three-point shooting (35% vs 29%) and free-throw shooting (68% vs 66%). Minnesota also has buy-low, sell-high value as the Gophers have dropped two straight while Rutgers has won four straight. Minnesota is 13-3 at home while Rutgers is 3-5 on the road. Pros aren’t afraid of laying the hefty moneyline chalk with Minnesota either (-185), as the Gophers are receiving 84% of moneyline bets but 91% of moneyline dollars. Big 10 home favorites are 56-16 (78%) straight up in conference play this season.
