NY Yankees at Cleveland

12:10 pm ET

The New York Yankees have come out of the gate red hot this season, posting a 10-3 record. They have been especially effective versus right-handed pitching, posting the 5th-best wRC+ in the American League. New York’s performance is even more impressive when considering the slow start of Aaron Judge.

On Saturday, the Bronx Bombers are tasked with taking on veteran Carlos Carrasco. The 37-year-old has allowed eight hits and seven walks over eight innings this season after posting a 6.80 ERA (5.86 FIP) in 2023.

In limited at-bats, Anthony Rizzo (3-for-5 w/ HR, 2B, 3 BB), Giancarlo Stanton (2-for-4 w/ HR, 2B, BB), and Juan Soto (2-for-8 w/ HR, BB) have posted solid numbers against “Cookie.”

This is why we are going to pounce on Carrasco’s earned run prop (Over 2.5) on Saturday.

MLB Best Bet: Carlos Carrasco Over 2.5 ER (+114)

Cincinnati at Chicago White Sox

2:10 pm ET

Nick Lodolo is making his season debut for the Reds after pitching just seven games last year following a left tibia injury.

It seems likely that Lodolo will be on a fairly short leash during his first outing of the year, allowing the White Sox to get into the Reds bullpen early.

Meanwhile, Chicago will send 24-year-old Garrett Crochet to the mound. The left-hander has been outstanding in three outings, conceding just three earned runs over 12 innings with 13 strikeouts.

Unfortunately, the White Sox offense is difficult to rely on for run support, but after a slow start, they managed to score 13 runs over two games versus the Guardians earlier this week.

If Crochet is on his game, he should give Chicago an edge over the first five innings.

MLB Best Bet: White Sox F5 ML (+108)

Minnesota at Detroit

1:10 pm ET

The Detroit Tigers will host the Minnesota Twins for a doubleheader on Saturday. Joe Ryan will get the start for the Twins in Game 1, while Kenta Maeda gets the ball for Detroit.

Ryan has posted a 27.3% strikeout this season after posting a 29.3% mark in 2023. The right-hander is fresh off a seven-strikeout performance against Cleveland, who are notoriously difficult to punch out.

The Tigers, who have a team-wide 23.3% strikeout rate, should be an easier assignment for Ryan. This is especially true with Javier Báez in the lineup.

The strikeout prop for the Twins righty is set at just 5.5, making this a strong target for your Saturday betting ticket.

MLB Best Bet: Joe Ryan Over 5.5 K (-135)
