NBA Best Bets Today – April 13th
Washington Wizards at Miami Heat – 1:00 pm ET
The Heat have absolutely nothing to play for today, which is why Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins and several other end-of-rotation players are sitting. With that in mind, I’m playing the Wizards to keep the final game of the year close. Of course, Washington has nothing to play for in this one. But this is a team that has had nothing to play for all year. And don’t make the mistake of thinking that this is a game the Wizards should want to lose as they try to tank for Cooper Flagg. That’s up to the ping pong balls now. Charlotte, Utah and Washington all have the same shot at No. 1. The final game of the year can’t change that. So, this is simply a more talented Wizards team playing against an unmotivated Heat team. Give me the points.
Bet: Wizards +8.5 (-110 – 1.5 units)
NBA Player Props Today – April 13th
Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors – 3:30 pm ET
Steph Curry is questionable for tonight’s game, but I’d be surprised if he doesn’t go in what is a must-win contest for Golden State. And if he does, it’s hard to imagine him failing to reach the 26-point mark with the Warriors needing him to come up big. Since the start of April, Curry is averaging 28.1 points per game, and he’s shooting 40.0% from 3 on 12.1 attempts per game. Golden State obviously got better in acquiring Jimmy Butler at the deadline, but the team also relies more on Curry’s perimeter firepower than ever. Well, it’s the “last game of the year, Brent. Can’t hold anything back now!” I think Curry comes out swinging, even with a wrap on his hand. And while Los Angeles is great defensively, it’s nice knowing Curry had a 26-point performance against them earlier in the year. That’s all we need tonight.
Bet: Curry Over 25.5 Points (-105 – 1.5 units)
Additional Plays
This is where I’ll include any late added plays, teasers/parlays or in-season futures. Come back before tip if you don’t want to miss anything. It’s always possible I’ll add something to my card.
