MLB Best Bets and Props:

We are back for another glorious Saturday of MLB baseball as we draw closer to the trade deadline. There are 16 games on the schedule, including a doubleheader between the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants, so we have plenty of options for MLB props and best bets.

Below are two of my favorite betting lines to target on Saturday, July 27th. So let’s lock them in and have a great weekend folks!

Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets

4:10 pm ET

Tylor Megill will take the hill for the New York Mets on Saturday in place of injured rookie right-hander Christian Scott.

Megill has been inconsistent this season in terms of overall success but has been fairly dependable when it comes to producing strikeouts. The 28-year-old boasts a 28% punchout rate this season, which ranks in the 84th percentile, with a 27.2% whiff rate.

The Mets right-hander will handle an Atlanta Braves offense with the third-highest strikeout percentage versus righties in the last 30 days (26%). This is great news when you consider his posted strikeout line is set at 5.5, a line he has hit in six of his eight outings this season.

The Over is a solid spot to invest in as part of your Saturday betting ticket.

MLB Best Bet: Tylor Megill Over 5.5 K (-120)

Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers

6:10 pm ET

Tarik Skubal is nearly unhittable at Comerica Park. Detroit’s ace has conceded a mere .168 batting average while hitting the Under on his posted 5.5 Hits line in eight of his nine starts at home.

On Saturday, Skubal will face a Twins lineup that is batting .241 against southpaws over the last two weeks. In addition, Minnesota has registered just six hits over two games this season against the 27-year-old.

We do not often see a Hits line posted this high against the Tigers Cy Young candidate, and for good reason. Bet the Under.

MLB Best Bet: Tarik Skubal Under 5.5 Hits (-130)
