Ally 400

The NASCAR Cup Series drivers debuted at Nashville Superspeedway in 2021, while the Xfinity Series and Truck Series returned to the track in Tennessee after a decade-long hiatus. The Friday and Saturday circuits of NASCAR ran at Nashville from 2001-11, but the Cup Series had never made it a stop until three years ago.

The top stock car racers are back to run around the 1.33-mile concrete oval in the 19th race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season this coming Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

2024 NASCAR Cup Series Standings

Christopher Bell won last week’s rainy and delayed USA Today 301, so we still have 10 winners occupying the 16 playoff spots. Bell picked up his third win of the season and is now tied with Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and William Byron for the most wins. Tyler Reddick, Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski, Daniel Suarez, Austin Cindric, and Blaney are the other winners. Nobody has exactly two wins on the season, but we’ll see if that changes this week.

Larson still leads the field in playoff bonus points with 23, but Bell is now a very close second with 22 after last week’s overall race win and Stage 1 win. Hamlin is up to 19 after winning Stage 2, but he finished outside the top 20 for the third straight race. Byron is all alone in fourth with 16 points and is the only other driver in double figures. The first playoff race is the Quaker State 400 on September 8 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Ally 400 Winners

Larson, Chase Elliott, and Ross Chastain are the three Cup Series winners at Nashville Superspeedway. Kyle Busch, Justin Allgaier, and A.J. Allmendinger have won the three Xfinity Series races since the circuit returned in 2021. Joey Logano won a then-Nationwide Series race here back in 2009. Those are the only active drivers to have found the winner’s circle at this track.
