Raiders face long playoff odds with one of NFL’s toughest schedules
Life in the AFC West is no picnic and the Las Vegas Raiders are very much aware of the challenges. The Raiders will roll with new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and some other good pieces on offense, but the schedule is a daunting one and there definitely won’t be a whole lot of easy games on the slate. For an organization with two playoff appearances since 2002, it looks like another season of wondering what the plan and direction of this team actually is.

Las Vegas Raiders schedule this year
The Raiders have the traditional six games within the AFC West Division, along with matchups against the NFC North and the AFC East, so those are a bunch of tough games, given that some of the bottom-feeders in those three divisions have greatly improved in recent seasons. The third-place schedule for the Raiders features the Colts on the road, to go along with the Steelers and Giants at home, so they’ll face old friend Darren Waller at Allegiant Stadium.
The Raiders also draw a matchup with the Chiefs on Christmas Day at 1:05 p.m. ET. They draw several primetime games as well, so this is an eventful schedule.
