EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix:
The fifth running of the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix is on Sunday March 2, but the Circuit of the Americas will have a new layout for this year’s race. Previously, the drivers used the Grand Prix circuit, which is 3.426 miles. Alterations to the layout this year have a track that is 2.356 miles.
There are still 20 turns on the Austin, Texas track, but there is only one long straightaway this year as opposed to two of them in the previous four iterations of this race. It is officially a road course race and the first of five scheduled for this season, including NASCAR’s first visit to Mexico City in mid-June.

2025 NASCAR Cup Series Standings
Christopher Bell won the Ambetter Health 400 last week at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but he sits 12th in points after finishing 31st in the Daytona 500 to open the year. The points leader is Ryan Balney, one of two drivers to finish in the top 10 in each of the first two races of the season. The other driver to do that is John Hunter Nemechek, who is seventh in points.
William Byron, the Daytona 500 winner, sits second in points, followed by Tyler Reddick, who has the pole position in the starting grid for this race. Austin Cindric and Bubba Wallace round out the top five, while last week’s third-place finisher, Kyle Larson, is sixth.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Alex Bowman, and Chase Elliott round out the top 10 heading into the race at COTA.
EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix Winners
There have been four races here and four different winners, but it may be worth pointing out that three of the winners were driving Chevrolets. Chase Elliott won the first race back in 2021. Ross Chastain, Reddick, and Byron have been the other three winners. The 2021 version was shortened by rain. The 2022 and 2023 versions needed NASCAR Overtime to decide a winner.
Along with his win, Reddick has been in the top 10 in all four races and in the top five in three of them, including a fifth-place finish last year. Bowman has also been fond of the road course, finishing in the top five in the last three COTA races.
