Formula One Las Vegas

Cody Zeeb from our friends at the Sports Gambling Podcast Network shares F1 analysis for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Formula One brings its excitement to the Las Vegas Strip this weekend. The 20 stars of the world traveling circuit will embark on the high-speed, 3.8-mile, 17-turn course that flashes past iconic Las Vegas landmarks, travels down The Strip, and past The Sphere, with speeds reaching 229 MPH last season. A total of 50 laps around the temporary track will make up Saturday night’s Las Vegas Grand Prix under the lights.

It’s been an exciting F1 season in 2025. With 21 of the 24 rounds in the books, it’s one of the closest point battles the series has had in a few years. The young Oscar Piastri had established a comfortable lead early on, but McLaren teammate Lando Norris and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen quickly cut into that lead. Heading into the last race in São Paulo, Brazil, Norris had cut the lead down to just a single point. After Norris had a spectacular weekend, winning both the Sprint Race and Grand Prix, Norris now has a 24-point cushion over Piastri with three events left.

F1 Picks: Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix Best Bets

Oliver Bearman Points Finish (+110)

This is my favorite bet going into the Formula One Las Vegas weekend. As a rookie contender, Bearman hasn’t yet been to this circuit in F1, but that hasn’t mattered much anywhere else. The kid (he’s only 20!) that races for the American Haas F1 Team has scored four straight points, AKA top-10 finishes. Eight times in total over the 21-race season, he’s finished in the top-10, while 12 times he’s finished within one spot of grabbing those points. He’s improved as the season has gone on, and qualifies for my best bet of the week!

Bonus bet: Bearman top-6 (+450) is in play as well.

Mercedes Double Podium (+475)

F1 terms can be a little confusing if you’re new to the sport, so let me translate. This bet is for both Mercedes drivers, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, to finish inside the top three. The team did it last year when George Russell won the race and Lewis Hamilton finished in second place. Russell picked up a win just a few races ago in Singapore, and Antonelli is coming off a hard-charging second-place run in Brazil.

Russell has landed on the podium in five of the last nine Grand Prix races. He has two wins on the year, eight podium finishes, and only one single finish outside of the top-10 all season long. Like Bearman, Antonelli is another rookie who has gotten better as the season has progressed. His drive to hold off Verstappen for second place was extremely impressive. He’s finished in the top five in four of the last five Grand Prix.

George Russell to Win (+450)

Building off of the above bet, if they are going to get both cars on the podium, good chance they win the race as well. Russell won this event last year as things were clicking for him and the team. Now, he comes into this one with the team clicking and himself on a tear as well. Russell is one of the six drivers who have topped the podium in 2025. With the speed we’ve seen from Mercedes lately from both drivers, mixed with last year’s results, I’m pushing all of my Las Vegas chips in on Mercedes this weekend.
