I’ve met most of the Circa Survivor winners since the contest started in 2020.
I always admire their unbridled confidence when they return for the next year.
But when I met 2024 Circa Survivor winner Chris Dierkes on Monday, he seemed to have a healthy appreciation for how fortune needs to smile on you multiple times to collect the prize. His team, C3 Picks, won $1.78 million, dividing the $14,266,000 pool with seven other entries.
On his Follow The Money appearance with Mitch Moss and Pauly Howard, the professional sports bettor from New York attributed “99.9 percent” of his victory to luck.
That said, Chris is putting his money where his mouth isn’t. He came into the Circa sportsbook on Monday to sign up for two $100,000 entries in the Circa Grandissimo, the inaugural high-stakes survivor contest.
That pushes the number of entries to 16 and a $1.6 million pool, past the $1.5 million guarantee by Circa owner Derek Stevens.
“Two months ago, I didn’t think it would hit 15,” he said. “I thought [Derek] was crazy.”
Now, his estimate is 30.
As you might expect, Chris is a featured character in the final five episodes of Circa Survivor: The Quest for $14.2 million. We’ll release them tonight at 9 ET on the VSiN YouTube channel. And Episode 6 will run tonight at 9 on VSiN’s video platforms.
No time like the present to catch up on the first five episodes. >>Go here.
