Confirmed Starters: Owen Proksch vs Tate McKee
If we played a game of “Which ACC teams do you trust?” Your first two answers wouldn’t be Duke or Georgia Tech, so somebody has to win this series and prove they’re a legitimate threat. For me, Georgia Tech looked really good through the middle of the season, but for whatever reason, has struggled lately. Meanwhile, Duke looked like a dumpster fire the first month of the season, but has since won their last three ACC series and have looked pretty impressive in doing so. This could be a series of a lot of runs, so look to bet the over, but when it comes to Game One with Proksch vs McKee, Proksch has been much better than McKee in his recent outings. So I’ll take the better arm and the home team.
Ole Miss ML (-115) vs Auburn
Confirmed Starters: Hunter Elliott vs Cam Tilley
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m going to fade Auburn. One of the hottest teams in the country, the Auburn Tigers, are playing really good baseball right now, but something tells me that Ole Miss has one more upset in them. The SEC has undoubtedly been a gauntlet all season long and I think for as good as Auburn has been, they may come back down to earth this weekend and lose this series against Ole Miss. With Ole Miss throwing Hunter Elliott opposite of Cam Tilley, this is a great opportunity to get a Game One win and put yourself in the drivers seat to win the series.
