2026 Horizon League Conference Basketball Tournament Odds & Predictions
The Horizon League Conference Tournament is spread out over eight days, as the play-in round and first round are played on the campus of the higher-seeded team and then the remaining teams head to Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the championship game in this one-bid league. Unfortunately, the regular season didn’t wrap up until Saturday night, so we couldn’t give our usual 48 hours lead time, but the tournament really doesn’t start until March 4.
All 11 teams qualify for the conference tournament, but the conference really beat up on the bottom-feeders, so there’s a lot of parity at the top of the standings.

Favorite To Win Horizon League Conference Tournament
The No. 1 seed has won this conference tournament in back-to-back seasons and favorite Wright State will look to make it three in a row. Prior to that, the No. 4 or No. 2 seeds had won seven of the last eight, so we’ve historically seen some variance in this tourney. The Raiders are easily the most balanced team in the conference, sitting first in adjusted offensive efficiency and second in adjusted defensive efficiency in conference play per Bart Torvik.
Oakland, who always plays a grueling non-conference schedule, is a much better team on offense than defense, which is the inverse of Northern Kentucky, who is way better on defense than offense. Robert Morris won this tournament last year and had two regular season wins over Wright State, sweeping the season series with wins by 6 and 13 points. So “favorite” is kind of a loose term here.
Horizon League Conference Tournament Darkhorse
The odds on Youngstown State relative to the rest of the conference make them a darkhorse, plus their losing conference record. But, the Penguins started 2-5 in conference play and did play better as things went along. YSU beat Wright State and played competitively against Robert Morris, including an overtime loss.
In terms of 2P%, Youngstown State has the biggest differential in the league, as they led the conference in making 2s and were second in preventing 2s. They take a lot of 3s and turn the ball over a lot, so you’re going to have to get them to run on the right side of variance for a few games in a row, but this is a talented team and one of the more balanced teams in the conference. I’d certainly like more than +1600 from a No. 9 seed and a moneyline rollover is likely to be a better option.
Betting Pick to Win The Horizon League Conference Tournament
Ultimately, while this is a pretty wide-open conference tournament, Robert Morris is my pick. The Colonials have won seven games in a row, as head coach Andrew Toole has his team playing at a high level at the right time. They are the best rebounding team in the conference and also rank third in 3P% offense and defense in Horizon League games. Lastly, even though Bobby Mo gets the darkhorse I like in Youngstown State in the opener, they beat them twice and even beat them in a game where they had their worst defensive performance by eFG% of the conference play season, so they matched up very well offensively.
Pick: Robert Morris (+320)
