Delaware State Hornets at Morgan State Bears (-1.5, 165.5)

7:30 p.m. ET

You would think that with 27 games on the card, it would be easier to find something to like. But, I had a hard time digging through the Monday slate, as some potential injuries and a total lack of information kept me away from a few games (Howard vs. SC State, Nicholls vs. Lamar). I did find a game I like though and it is between two of the nation’s weakest teams, as Delaware State battles Morgan State.

Delaware State won the first meeting 84-82, but they should have won by more. The Hornets had 23 offensive rebounds, but went just 17-of-40 on shot attempts at the rim. Overall, they were 27-of-62 on 2s. It was also a foul fest with 37 total fouls and 56 free throw attempts, 33 of which went to Morgan State.

These are two teams that avoid 3-point attempts like the plague, with Delaware State 364th in the nation at 20.5% and Morgan State 363rd at 21.8%. Delaware State is better at making them, so maybe that is a bit of a difference maker here. But, I do think that Delaware State will continue to get the better looks at the rim. Morgan State has allowed a 45.3% shot share on Close Twos.

Morgan State is also 360th in the nation in ORB% against, so Delaware State should win the game on the glass here again. In conference play, the Hornets are fourth in adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency, while Morgan State is fifth and eighth, respectively.

Pick: Delaware State +1.5
