I am a sports bettor stricken with FOMO (fear of missing out) when it comes to the data I rely on to handicap games. That is one of the main reasons I am such a huge fan of the Analytics Reports we’ve been running on VSiN.com for the past year and a half. I feel like I am not leaving as many stones unturned anymore. Hopefully, you caught it last week, but in our NBA Analytics Report for Tuesday, 1/14, there was a little nugget about the Bucks and Kings going Over the total quite regularly. Well, for the 23rd time in 24 games, it did once again in a 130-115 decision. The extending of that ridiculous trend also got me thinking of all the great similar opportunities that come up on a day-to-day on the college basketball board, particularly in the heart of conference play, and that I should probably update and share them again.

Although none of the college basketball trends I have found are as definitive as the 23-1 total angle I just mentioned, I have put together a list of some of the top head-to-head angles available for the rest of the college regular season so that bettors can take advantage of them when they arise. I’ve decided to do them on a “Top 40” basis, with the trends revealed in calendar order.

Logically, every team in every league has opponents that, for one reason or another, they match up better or worse against. It can be because of strength, size, location, or simply good old-fashioned luck either way, but for bettors, not considering this aspect in handicapping games is leaving a huge void. In college basketball, it seems to be of particular importance, as some head-to-head trends that have formed over recent years uncover what have turned into extremely lopsided series. This can be due to talent differences, sizes of crowds, and intensity of the rivalry among other things.
