VCU vs. Dayton

Dayton ranks just 310th in the country in total possessions per game while having one of the most stifling defenses in the nation, ranking seventh in points per possession allowed and 19th in turnovers forced per possession. However, they are just 241st in road 3-point shooting percentage at 31.7%.

Pick: Dayton +1.5 and Under 139.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Dayton -2.5 and Total 134.5)

Pennsylvania vs. Princeton

Pennsylvania ranks 352nd in the country in points per possession in games played away from home and is 292nd in total possessions per game in road contests. Princeton, meanwhile, ranks 231st in points per possession on offense at home.

Pick: Under 145.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 140)

USC vs. Purdue

USC is dealing with an injury to top scorer Desmond Claude but ranks third in the country in opponent 3-point shooting percentage in road games at 26%. Meanwhile, Purdue’s interior play has declined this season, ranking 172nd in offensive rebound percentage and 321st in opponent 2-point shooting percentage in home games.

Pick: USC +14 and Under 146.5 (Greg’s Handicap: USC +1.5 and Total 140.5)

St. John’s vs. Connecticut

While St. John’s leads the country in fewest points per possession allowed away from home, they face a Connecticut offense that ranks seventh in points per possession at home. However, UConn struggles defensively against perimeter shooting, ranking 330th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage. St. John’s has also been pushing the tempo this season, ranking 32nd in total possessions per game.

Pick: Over 141.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 142.5)

Saint Louis vs. St. Joseph’s

Saint Louis’ offense has been underwhelming this season, ranking just 166th in points per possession and 330th in offensive rebound percentage. However, their defense is strong, ranking 35th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage. They face a St. Joseph’s team that ranks 194th in points per possession at home.

Pick: Under 145.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 144.5)

San Jose State vs. Boise State

San Jose State ranks 13th in the nation in road 3-point shooting percentage at 39.5% and 74th in points per possession away from home. They face a Boise State team that ranks 164th in defensive 3-point shooting percentage and 269th in turnovers forced per possession.

Pick: San Jose State +14 (Greg’s Handicap: San Jose State +12)

Utah State vs. Fresno State

Utah State ranks 23rd in the country in points per possession allowed and faces a Fresno State offense that ranks 324th in points per possession. Fresno State will also be without two of its top five scorers, including top scorer Amar Augillard, who has transferred to Western Illinois.
