6:30 PM Eastern
IU Indianapolis Jaguars vs. Eastern Michigan Eagles
IU Indianapolis is playing a style never before seen at the Division I level, with the team full-court pressing every possession under coach Ben Howlett, whose Division II West Liberty team ran the same system and averaged 100.9 points per game last season. They now face an Eastern Michigan team that was 320th in points per possession allowed last season and still has not found a point guard, with their top three players in points and assists from last season gone.
Pick: IU Indianapolis vs. Eastern Michigan Over 185.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 194.5)
Lindenwood Lions vs. Charleston Southern Buccaneers
Charleston Southern is playing for the second time in as many days, while Lindenwood is fully rested. Lindenwood returns a solid amount of production from a team that ranked 63rd in turnovers per possession and started the season banged up but now gets back Dontrez Williams and Anias Futrell, who both missed the season opener. They face a Charleston Southern team that last season was 332nd in turnovers per possession on offense.
Picks: Lindenwood +4.5 and Under 158 (Greg’s Handicap: Lindenwood -3 and Total 149)
7:00 PM Eastern
Eastern Illinois Panthers vs. Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky has struggled to generate turnovers this year, forcing just nine per game in their first three contests. Eastern Illinois returns two of their top three scorers from a team that ranked 27th in turnovers forced per possession last season. With Eastern Illinois’ biggest weakness this season being their 15.7 turnovers per game on offense, Kentucky’s inability to exploit that gives Eastern Illinois a chance to linger longer than expected.
Picks: Eastern Illinois +38.5 and Over 150 (Greg’s Handicap: Eastern Illinois +27.5 and Total 159.5)
Indiana State Sycamores vs. Duke Blue Devils
Lost in Duke’s massive 2024–25 expectations is that since Jon Scheyer took over, this has been a defense-first, slow-tempo team. They ranked fourth in points per possession allowed and 274th in total possessions per game last season. After leading the country in offensive points per possession last season, they sit 21st this year. Duke has never been a turnover-heavy defense, ranking 180th in turnovers forced per possession last season. That should help an Indiana State team that was 317th in turnovers per possession last season and looks improved on defense after allowing just 55 points earlier this week in a win over SIU Edwardsville.
Pick: Indiana State +37.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Indiana State +31.5)
The Citadel Bulldogs vs. West Georgia Wolves
While West Georgia ran out of steam in the second half against Nebraska and UCLA, they stayed within five points in the first half of both games and return top scorer and rebounder Sheldon Williams-Dryden. He should have success against a Citadel team that returns much of a roster that ranked 348th in points per possession and 353rd in 3-point shooting at 29.2% last season, all while playing slow at 295th in total possessions per game.
Picks: West Georgia -4.5 and Under 146.5 (Greg’s Handicap: West Georgia -10 and Total 142)
Fordham Rams vs. Iona Gaels
Iona is looking to play an uptempo, exciting brand of basketball under first-year coach Dan Geriot, who was in the New Orleans Pelicans organization this time last season. Iona has scored 186 combined points in their first two games, though their 44.2% 3-point shooting is due for regression. Fordham is trying to build a defensive identity under Mike Magpayo, who arrived from UC Riverside. The Rams have struggled offensively in their two Division I games, averaging just 62 points, but should see positive regression on 3-point defense after NJIT and Wagner shot a combined 47.1% from deep.
Picks: Iona -5.5 and Under 158.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Iona -9.5 and Total 147.5)
7:30 PM Eastern
High Point Panthers vs. UAB Blazers
UAB is coming off a rough 77–74 home loss to Alabama State, but there’s reason for positive regression. They have shot just 21.1% from 3-point range in their first three games and were 11th nationally in offensive rebound percentage last season at 36%. That number is now 36.8% this year. High Point, in a small sample, ranks third in points per possession in games away from home.
Picks: UAB Moneyline and Under 169.5 (Greg’s Handicap: UAB -2.5 and Total 162.5)
8:00 PM Eastern
UW Milwaukee Panthers vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders
Texas Tech is coming off a down-to-the-wire emotional loss to Illinois, where forwards LeJuan Watts and JT Toppin carried the team, combining for 25 of Tech’s 34 made shots. The Red Raiders lost much of their backcourt from last season and now face a UW Milwaukee team that loses top rebounder Jamichael Stillwell but was fourth in rebound percentage last season and brings strength down low. They must also replace primary facilitator Themus Fulks, creating potential for many empty possessions.
Pick: UW Milwaukee vs. Texas Tech Under 162.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 149.5)
9:00 PM Eastern
Providence Friars vs. Colorado Buffaloes
Colorado has a strong home-court advantage in Boulder but barely escaped Montana State and Eastern Washington at home despite shooting 40% from 3-point range. Opponents have shot 44.4% from deep, and both percentages should regress. This increases the importance of interior play, which favors Providence, who ranked 43rd in rebound percentage last season compared to Colorado’s 109th.
Picks: Providence Moneyline and Under 164.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Providence -4 and Total 152)
9:30 PM Eastern
Utah Tech Trailblazers vs. Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils
Mississippi Valley State ranked dead last in the nation last season in both points scored and points allowed per possession. Utah Tech should dominate the glass with Utah Valley transfer Ethan Potter bringing needed interior punch. Utah Tech was 343rd in rebound percentage last season but is up to 235th with Potter contributing 16.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. With MVSU now 51st in total possessions per game after ranking 296th last season, Utah Tech should get plenty of scoring chances.
Picks: Utah Tech -24 and Over 145.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Utah Tech -29.5 and Total 151.5)
10:00 PM Eastern
North Texas Mean Green vs. Saint Mary’s Gaels
North Texas ranked in the bottom 15 in total possessions per game in each of the past six seasons, and new coach Daniyal Robinson has them back in the bottom 10. Saint Mary’s, typically slow-paced, has been more explosive this year, scoring at least 84 points in each of their first three games and adding about 2.5 possessions per game compared to last season. They return many key forwards from a team that led the nation in rebound percentage.
Picks: Saint Mary’s -12.5 and Over 130.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Saint Mary’s -14.5 and Total 138.5)
11:00 PM Eastern
Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. Arizona State Sun Devils
Gonzaga has cruised through their first three games with wins and covers, including against strong opponents Oklahoma and Creighton. This is their first road game, and they face an Arizona State team shooting 38.3% from 3-point range and led by 7-foot-1 freshman Massamba Diop, who is averaging 15.5 points per game. Arizona State will need his presence against a Gonzaga team currently scoring more efficiently than they did a season ago.
Pick: Arizona State +12.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Arizona State +7.5)
Washington Huskies vs. Washington State Cougars
The Apple Cup rivalry hits the hardwood with Washington far more balanced than last season, when Great Osobor carried much of the load. Seven players now average at least eight points per game, but Pullman remains a difficult road trip even within the state. Washington ranks just 98th in points per possession on offense and 60th on defense, facing a Washington State team that looked sharp in an 81–71 win over St. Thomas earlier this week.
Pick: Washington State +9.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Washington State +6)
11:59 PM Eastern
Manhattan Jaspers vs. Hawaii Rainbow Warriors
Manhattan continues to deal with eligibility issues surrounding top returning scorer Will Sydnor, who has yet to play this season. The team entered Thursday ranked 39th in points per possession in games played away from home thanks in part to the return of Frasier Roxburgh, who missed the second half of 2025 after hitting 47.8% of his 3-pointers through 19 games. Hawaii has been sloppy with 16 turnovers per game and relies heavily on free throws, ranking ninth in attempts per possession while making just 69.6%.
Picks: Manhattan +14 and Under 155.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Manhattan +8.5 and Total 146.5)
