Prairie View vs. Arkansas Pine Bluff

These are two of the fastest tempo teams in the country, both ranking in the top 37 in total possessions per game. Both teams also rank in the bottom four in defensive rebound percentage, allowing opponents to grab an offensive rebound on more than 39.3% of their missed shots.

UCLA vs. Rutgers

Rutgers has been lackluster on both ends of the floor, ranking 157th in points per possession on offense and 151st in points allowed per possession. UCLA, despite recent losses, ranks 11th nationally in points per possession allowed on defense and faces a Rutgers team that ranks just 202nd in total possessions per game at home, compared to eighth in games away from home.

Wofford vs. Furman

Furman entered Sunday ranked 83rd in points per possession allowed on defense, while Wofford’s road defense ranks 328th in points per possession allowed. Additionally, Wofford is shooting just 31% on 3-pointers away from home compared to 39.6% at home.

East Texas A&M vs. UT Rio Grande Valley

Both defenses have struggled, with UT Rio Grande Valley ranked 247th in points allowed per possession and East Texas A&M 317th. Both teams are also ranked 321st or worse in opponent 2-point shooting percentage. UT Rio Grande Valley plays at a fast pace, ranking 93rd in possessions per game.

Coppin State vs. Howard

Coppin State ranks 362nd out of 364 Division I teams in points per possession on offense. Both teams play at a moderate tempo, with Coppin State entering Sunday ranked 233rd in possessions per game and Howard at 135th.

New Orleans vs. Lamar

New Orleans ranks 73rd in the country in possessions per game but 354th in points allowed per possession. Lamar excels at offensive rebounding in home games, ranking 29th nationally and grabbing offensive rebounds on 38% of their missed shots.

McNeese vs. Houston Christian

These are two of the slowest Division I basketball teams, with McNeese ranked 311th in total possessions per game and Houston Christian 338th. Houston Christian slows even further at home, ranking 347th in possessions per game, and struggles offensively, ranking 295th in points per possession. McNeese’s defense has been strong on the road, ranking 37th in points allowed per possession.
