Texas Tech vs. Cincinnati

Cincinnati is fifth in the country in points per possession allowed on defense this season, while Texas Tech ranks 25th in this category. However, Texas Tech drops to 103rd in points per possession allowed in games played away from home and ranks 160th in the percentage of opponents’ missed shots that result in an offensive rebound.

Pick: Cincinnati +2 (Greg’s Handicap: Cincinnati -2.5)

VCU vs. Rhode Island

Rhode Island has been one of the best defensive teams along the perimeter in the country, ranking third in opponent 3-point shooting percentage at 27%. VCU has done a better job than Rhode Island in preventing offensive rebounds, ranking 85th in defensive rebound percentage compared to VCU’s 147th rank.

Pick: Rhode Island +7.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Rhode Island +2.5)

George Mason vs. St. Bonaventure

George Mason ranks 343rd in road defensive rebound percentage, allowing opponents to grab an offensive rebound on 36% of their missed shots. Additionally, they are 317th in points per possession on the road. St. Bonaventure, on the other hand, is 39th in the country in points per possession allowed on defense.

Pick: St. Bonaventure -2.5 (Greg’s Handicap: St. Bonaventure -5.5)

Kent State vs. Toledo

Kent State entered Monday ranked 331st in the country in points per possession in games played away from home. Toledo, ranked 196th in points per possession at home, will need to contend with a Kent State defense that ranks second in the nation in points per possession allowed on the road. Kent State is also 263rd in total possessions per game.

Pick: Kent State vs. Toledo Under 148.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 142.5)

Indiana State vs. Illinois State

Indiana State is 10th in the country in total possessions per game, while Illinois State ranks ninth in 3-point shooting percentage. Both teams rank outside the top 260 in points allowed per possession on defense.

Arizona vs. Oklahoma State

Arizona and Oklahoma State are both in the top 75 in total possessions per game. However, Oklahoma State is 261st in opponent 3-point shooting percentage, while Arizona ranks 41st in points per possession.

Minnesota vs. Iowa

Iowa has performed significantly better at home, allowing 23.5 fewer points per 100 possessions on defense and scoring 15.9 more points per 100 possessions on offense. Meanwhile, Minnesota ranks 207th in points per possession on offense and 233rd in opponent 3-point shooting percentage.

Pick: Iowa -8.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Iowa -15.5)
