7:00 PM Eastern
Arkansas Pine Bluff vs. Alabama State
Arkansas Pine Bluff ranks 363rd out of 364 Division I teams in points per possession allowed while also ranking 13th in possessions per game. Meanwhile, Alabama State ranks 312th in points per possession allowed and 10th in fewest turnovers committed per possession on offense.
Pick: Arkansas Pine Bluff vs. Alabama State Over 163.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 167)
UT Rio Grande Valley vs. SE Louisiana
Both teams have excelled defensively against the 3-point shot this season. SE Louisiana ranks 78th nationally, allowing opponents to make just 30.7% of their 3-point attempts, while UT Rio Grande Valley ranks 40th at 29.5%. However, Grande Valley relies heavily on 3-point shooting for offense, with 41.7% of their road-game points coming from made 3’s, the 17th-highest percentage in the country. By contrast, SE Louisiana gets only 21.1% of their points at home from made 3’s, the 22nd-lowest mark nationally.
Pick: SE Louisiana +2 (Greg’s Handicap SE Louisiana -1.5)
7:30 PM Eastern
Texas A&M Corpus Christi vs. New Orleans
New Orleans entered Sunday ranked 353rd in the country in points per possession allowed while ranking 71st in total possessions per game. Texas A&M Corpus Christi, on the other hand, has struggled defensively on the road, allowing teams to shoot 40% from 3-point range, which ranks 350th nationally.
Pick: Texas A&M Corpus Christi vs. New Orleans Over 150.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 161.5)
8:00 PM Eastern
Grambling vs. Texas Southern
Even with Grambling dealing with an injury to top scorer Antwann Burnett, they should find open looks against a Texas Southern defense that ranks 336th in points allowed per possession and allows opponents to make 41.5% of their 3-point shots at home.
Pick: Grambling +4 (Greg’s Handicap Grambling -2)
8:30 PM Eastern
Southern vs. Prairie View
Prairie View ranks 52nd in total possessions per game but struggles defensively, ranking 362nd out of 364 Division I teams in points allowed per possession. They also allow the highest percentage of offensive rebounds per missed shot in the country, with opponents securing 41.3% of their missed shots. Southern, however, allows opponents to shoot 37.8% from 3-point range, ranking 339th nationally.
Pick: Southern vs. Prairie View Over 146.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 157.5)
9:00 PM Eastern
Ohio State vs. Minnesota
Minnesota is one of the slowest tempo teams in the country, ranking 353rd in possessions per game, and struggles offensively, shooting just 30.1% from 3-point range (298th nationally). Ohio State, meanwhile, excels defensively, ranking ninth in the nation in 3-point shooting percentage defense, allowing opponents to make only 27.7% of their 3-point attempts.
Pick: Ohio State vs. Minnesota Under 137 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 133.5)
TCU vs. Houston
TCU has allowed 63 points or fewer in three of their past four games, a stretch in which starting guard Frankie Collins has been out with an injury. Houston, meanwhile, leads the country in points allowed per possession and ranks third in 3-point shooting percentage at 41.4%. However, Houston’s shooting success is likely to drop against a TCU team that ranks eighth nationally in opponent 3-point shooting percentage, holding teams to 27.7%.
Pick: TCU vs. Houston Under 129 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 124.5)
