Kent State vs. Loyola Chicago
Kent State has the biggest home-and-road defensive split in the country, allowing 9.7 fewer points per 100 possessions away from home than at home. They rank seventh nationally in points per possession allowed on the road and sixth in opponents’ three-point shooting percentage away from home (29%). However, Kent State also struggles from beyond the arc on the road, shooting just 28.8%—ranking 338th in the country.
Both teams play at a moderate tempo, with Kent State ranking 211th in total possessions per game and Loyola Chicago 200th. Loyola Chicago also performs significantly better defensively at home, surrendering 10.7 fewer points per 100 possessions than on the road, ranking 69th overall in points per possession allowed.
Pick: Kent State vs. Loyola Chicago Under 145 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 138.5)

UAB vs. UC Irvine
This matchup is a classic strength-on-strength battle. UAB ranks 15th in the country in points per possession on the road, while UC Irvine ranks seventh in fewest points per possession allowed.
UAB also has one of the largest home-and-road three-point shooting splits of the decade, making just 30.6% of their threes at home but 38.3% on the road. Their shooting should balance out against a UC Irvine team that matches up well on the glass. UAB ranks 32nd in overall rebound percentage, while UC Irvine ranks 43rd.
Pick: UAB vs. UC Irvine Under 160.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 152)
