Southern Mississippi vs. Coastal Carolina

Southern Mississippi ranks 332nd in the country in points per possession on offense and is without guard Andre Curbelo, who was dismissed from the team at the end of February. Coastal Carolina ranks 265th in points per possession on offense and plays at one of the slowest paces in the country, ranking 355th in total possessions per game. While Coastal Carolina generates the fewest turnovers of any defense in the country, Southern Mississippi ranks 330th in turnovers per possession.

Pick: Southern Mississippi vs. Coastal Carolina Under 142 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 139)

7:00 PM Eastern

Creighton vs. Seton Hall

Seton Hall ranks 350th in home three-point shooting percentage at 28.5% and 361st in points per possession on offense in home games. Creighton, meanwhile, ranks 67th in the country in opponent three-point shooting percentage. The Seton Hall defense is also outside the top 285 in opponent two-point and three-point shooting percentages.

Pick: Creighton -9.5 (Greg’s Handicap Creighton -13)

Saint Louis vs. Dayton

Dayton plays at one of the slowest paces in the country, ranking 278th in total possessions per game at home. They face a Saint Louis team that is shooting only 30.8% from three-point range away from home and is not giving itself second chances to score, ranking 328th in offensive rebound percentage on the road, securing an offensive rebound on only 19.8% of missed shots.

Pick: Saint Louis vs. Dayton Under 144.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 141)

Central Michigan vs. Ball State

Ball State has one of the best perimeter defenses at the mid-major level, ranking 50th in opponent three-point shooting percentage. Central Michigan, whose strength is rebounding, may struggle with Ball State’s physicality, as Ball State ranks second in the country in the percentage of offensive plays in home games that end in a free throw attempt.

Pick: Ball State +3.5 (Greg’s Handicap Ball State -2)

Kent State vs. Western Michigan

Western Michigan has the worst home three-point shooting percentage in the nation at 25.5%, while Kent State ranks 354th in road three-point shooting percentage at 26.9%. Kent State also ranks sixth in points per possession allowed away from home and 216th in total possessions per game.

Pick: Kent State vs. Western Michigan Under 145.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 137.5)

Miami (OH) vs. Buffalo

Buffalo is struggling in nearly every aspect of the game, ranking 323rd in points per possession allowed on defense, 330th in points per possession scored on offense, and 350th in home rebounding percentage. Miami (OH), on the other hand, ranks 35th in the country in three-point shooting percentage at 37.2% and 42nd in turnovers forced per possession away from home.

Pick: Miami (OH) -8.5 (Greg’s Handicap Miami (OH) -12.5)

North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech

North Carolina is making just 33% of its three-point shots away from home while allowing teams to make 35.1% of their three-point shots, ranking 208th in opponent three-point shooting percentage. The Tar Heels do not apply defensive ball pressure, ranking 320th in turnovers forced per possession. Virginia Tech has improved its ball security, reducing turnovers from 15.1 per game in non-conference play to 11.7 per game in ACC play.

Pick: Virginia Tech +8 (Greg’s Handicap Virginia Tech +4.5)

9:00 PM Eastern

Auburn vs. Texas A&M

Texas A&M and Auburn are relatively mid-tempo teams, with Texas A&M ranking 195th in total possessions per game and Auburn 127th. Texas A&M is second in the country in home rebound percentage but is shooting just 28.5% from three-point range at home. Both teams are solid defensively, with Texas A&M ranking 28th in points per possession allowed and Auburn ranking 34th.

Pick: Auburn vs. Texas A&M Under 149.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 144)

San Jose State vs. Colorado State

Colorado State ranks 22nd in the country in defensive rebound percentage, allowing opponents to secure only 23.1% of their missed shots as offensive rebounds. San Jose State is dealing with an injury to Will McClendon, who is second on the team in points per game. In his five-game absence, they have been held to 71 points or fewer in four of those games.

Pick: San Jose State vs. Colorado State Under 144.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 137.5)

New Mexico vs. Nevada

New Mexico ranks 15th in the country in points per possession allowed away from home and should exploit a Nevada defense that ranks 290th in opponent three-point shooting percentage at 35.7%. New Mexico also has an edge down low, ranking 14th in blocked shot percentage on defense.

Pick: New Mexico +1 (Greg’s Handicap New Mexico -3.5)

Syracuse vs. SMU

Syracuse ranks 344th in the country in points per possession allowed away from home and does not put opponents under duress, ranking 346th in turnovers forced per possession. Meanwhile, SMU ranks 13th in the country in three-point shooting percentage at 38.4% and 17th in offensive rebound percentage, securing 35.1% of their missed shots.

Pick: SMU -12.5 (Greg’s Handicap SMU -17.5)

10:00 PM Eastern

Arkansas vs. Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt is allowing teams to shoot 37.2% from three-point range, ranking 343rd in the country. Arkansas sees opponents’ three-point shooting percentage rise from 28.2% at home to 34.9% away from home. Both teams play at a fast pace, with Vanderbilt ranking 92nd in possessions per game and Arkansas ranking 88th.

Pick: Arkansas vs. Vanderbilt Over 149 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 153.5)

11:00 PM Eastern

Arizona State vs. Arizona

Arizona ranks just 310th in the country in three-point shooting percentage at 31.2%, while Arizona State ranks 65th at 36%. Arizona State is also the better shot-blocking team, with Arizona ranking 75th in blocked shot percentage and Arizona State 51st. However, a significant factor is Jayden Quaintance, a key contributor to Arizona State’s shot-blocking, who is currently dealing with an injury.

Pick: Arizona State +17.5 (Greg’s Handicap Arizona State +12.5)
