St. Mary’s vs. Nebraska

1:00 PM ET

While this is a neutral court game, the 10:00 AM Pacific tip time for St. Mary’s out of the state of California may cause for a sleepy start and they face a Nebraska unit that has started the season strong on defense, entering Saturday 19th in the country in points allowed on a per possession basis.

Princeton vs. Merrimack

Merrimack led the country in turnovers forced per possession on defense a season ago and now faces a Princeton unit that was 342nd in total possessions per game a season ago. Merrimack also has offensive deficiencies, entering Saturday 347th in the nation in points scored on a per possession basis after ranking 293rd in this category last season.

Montana State vs. Denver

Denver is a team looking for a new identity after losing their top three scorers from a season ago, while Montana State brought back five of their top seven scorers from a season ago. Denver entered Saturday 287th in points allowed on a per possession basis and were 346th in this category last season.

Troy vs. Oregon

Oregon ranked just 170th in points allowed on a per possession basis last season and is coming off of being pushed to overtime in their last home game against Portland. Troy is an uptempo team that was 40th in total possessions per game last season and entered Saturday 100th in this category.

UMass Lowell vs. Washington

UMass Lowell had the best road 3-point shooting defense in America last season with opponents making just 26.5% of their 3s, but have been sloppy on offense, 267th or worse in turnovers per possession each of the past two seasons. They are coming off of scoring only 54 points against Gonzaga on Saturday.
