South Florida vs. Portland
2:30 PM ET
Portland has ranked 329th or worse in points allowed on a per possession basis three of the past four seasons and entered Wednesday 254th in this category. South Florida is picking up their tempo this season, entering Wednesday ranked 79th in the country in total possessions per game.
South Florida vs. Portland Over 145.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 152.5)
Toledo vs. Stetson
6:30 PM ET
Entering this season, Toledo had been in the top 33 in 3-point shooting percentage six of the past seven seasons, but have seen that percentage dip to 29.2% this season with the top three scorers from a season ago departing. Defensively, they have ranked 247th or worse in points allowed on a per possession basis each of the past two seasons, allowing 77 points or more in three of their first four games this season.
Stetson +13.5 (Greg’s Handicap Stetson +7)
Tennessee vs. Virginia
6:30 PM ET
While the Tennessee offense is off to an impressive start, entering Wednesday ninth in the country in points scored on a per possession basis, they face a Virginia team that even without Tony Bennett is playing the same way they usually do; ranking 30th in points allowed on a per possession basis and playing games with the second-lowest amount of possessions per game of any team in the country.
Virginia +11.5 (Greg’s Handicap Virginia +8.5)
Texas Tech vs. St. Joseph’s
6:30 PM ET
While Texas Tech’s 45.1% 3-point shooting is impressive, all those games came at home as a favorite of -18 or bigger in all four games and now they play their first game away from home. St. Joseph’s entered Wednesday second in the country in points scored on a per possession basis in games played away from home.
St. Joseph’s +11.5 (Greg’s Handicap St. Joseph’s +8.5)
Niagara vs. Kent State
7:00 PM ET
Entering Wednesday, Kent State ranked just 277th in points allowed on a per possession basis and face a Niagara unit that has picked up with their road 3-point shooting where they left off last season, making 38.2% of their road 3-pointers this season after shooting 38.5% on 3-point shots on the road last season.
Niagara +14.5 (Greg’s Handicap Niagara +9.5)
Eastern Michigan vs. Oakland
7:00 PM ET
While Oakland’s offense loses a lot of pieces and has struggled after winning a game in the NCAA Tournament last season, their style should be conducive to higher-scoring games moving forward, allowing opponents to shoot 36.9% from 3-point range this season. They entered Wednesday 311th in points allowed on a per possession basis last season after ranking 357th in points allowed on a per possession basis at home last season.
Eastern Michigan vs. Oakland Over 128 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 143.5)
