Women’s College Basketball Best Bets:
The NCAA women’s tournament is back in action with the Sweet 16 Friday night, featuring a slew of usual suspects in the sport – including defending champion South Carolina. The biggest storyline heading into the weekend though, is the unfortunate injury to superstar Juju Watkins of USC, which will sideline her the rest of the season. Adam Burke, VSiN.com Managing Editor, wrote about that and I gave some thoughts and numbers on how the Watkins injury affects the immediate USC/Kansas State matchup, but also the national title picture as a whole, so be sure to check that out.
Reminder on how to read the projections: If the spread is a positive number, that indicates the team on the left (Home, unless neutral site) is favored by TSI. If the spread is a negative, that indicates the team on the right (Away, unless neutral side) is favored by TSI. TSI total is the projected number of combined points in the game.
Here are my women’s Sweet 16 projections for Friday and Saturday:

Connecticut | Oklahoma | 9.1 | 146.2 |
Duke | North Carolina | 6.0 | 127.9 |

South Carolina | Maryland | 16.0 | 145.0 |
Southern California | Kansas State | -1 | 140.0 |
TCU | Notre Dame | -4.8 | 142.3 |
