Women’s Elite Eight College Basketball Best Bets:

We’re two games away from having the women’s Final Four matchups set, with Texas taking on Michigan and South Carolina battling TCU for a chance to punch tickets to Phoenix. UConn/Notre Dame and UCLA/Duke will battle on Sunday, and I posted those projections yesterday on X, so go check those out.

I will continue to post the men’s and women’s NCAA tournament projections here on VSiN ahead of time, so be sure to check back daily for projections and bets. As always, be sure to follow me on X @TShoeIndex for all the latest tidbits and analysis, as well as women’s best bets as they come throughout the tournament as well.

Women’s Projections for the Elite Eight

Texas (-9.5) vs Michigan, O/U 139.5

Both of these teams won comfortably in their Sweet Sixteen matchups, and now Texas is listed as a pretty big favorite against the Wolverines on Monday. Texas has been on an absolute tear recently, and while Michigan is a formidable foe, TSI indicates the Longhorns are a runaway train and Michigan is on the tracks, projecting Texas -12.5 with a total of 143.5. Texas has the highest rating of any team left, looking at just the last three games’ performances relative to opponent power rating and margin of victory, so I’m going to once again back Madison Booker and co. to cover the number.

Bet: Texas -9.5

South Carolina (-14.5) vs TCU, O/U 133

I was a little down on the Gamecocks coming into the tournament, relative to Dawn Staley’s teams of the past, but this team has done nothing but dominate so far in the tournament. They’re heavy favorites again against Olivia Miles and company, so the competition will definitely be stiffer, but TSI still projects a Gamecocks cover here with a projected 15.5 point margin of victory with a total of 140.5. The spread is pretty tight, but I do love the Over here.

Bet: Over 133 (there are some better numbers out there, but this is the consensus at sharp books)
