College Football Week 13 Predictions from the T Shoe Index:

What goes up must come down, right? That was certainly the case for me in Week 12 after two blazing hot weeks leading up to it, I came crashing down despite maintaining the same process and strategy. That’s betting, I guess, especially when dealing with 18-22-year-olds (except the Cam Risings of the world). On my dozens of bets overall, I averaged over 1.5 points of CLV per play and still lost 4.3 units. So, apparently, the market as a whole had a bad week. Nonetheless, we still have two glorious weeks of regular season college football left, and the T Shoe Index doesn’t go down without a fight, so we are getting back on the horse with some early Week 13 college football best bets.

Who doesn’t love a little midweek #MACtion? More specifically, who doesn’t love to bet some midweek #MACtion Overs? Buffalo is a wildly inconsistent team from a power rating and ATS standpoint; however, one thing that can generally be counted out with the Bulls is their ability to give up points, particularly on the road. They’ve allowed over 33 points per game on the road, including allowing 47 points in each of their last two road trips. Meanwhile, Eastern Michigan home games have averaged 61 points per game so far this year, so TSI is projecting a total of 55.5 here, with more recently-weighted formulas being near 60. These defenses are 124th and 125th nationally in TSI, so while I wouldn’t want to touch this from a spread perspective, I do think there should be points aplenty on Wednesday night in Ypsilanti.

Week 13 College Football Best Bet: Over 54 (Play to 55)

Georgia State vs. Texas State (-20; 58)

Saturday, 7:00 p.m. ET

Texas State had a lot of optimism coming into the season, but after a couple of early back-to-back losses to Arizona State and Sam Houston, I think people wrote them off; however, they’ve kicked it into gear the last two weeks, beating UL Monroe by 20 and Southern Miss by 55. A Louisiana loss last week keeps them alive in the Sun Belt West, so they’re incentivized to show up and take care of business against the Panthers this week at home. TSI projects Texas State -21.5 here, so getting below the 21 is crucial. The Bobcats have been – get this – 21 (!!!) points better at home than they’ve been on the road, per TSI game grades. They’re now up to a top-45 offense in TSI, taking on a Panthers defense that ranks just 112th. I think the Bobcats will score early and often here.

Week 13 College Football Best Bet: Texas State -20 (Play to -21)
