We might be looking at an absolute classic of a week in college football. Week 10 features No. 7 vs. No. 3, No. 10 vs. No. 19, No. 9 vs. No. 15, No. 8 vs. No. 16, No. 1 vs. No. 4, and No. 2 vs. No. 12. That’s a pretty darn good weekend of CFB. And those are the AP Poll numbers. On Tuesday night, we’ll get our first College Football Playoff Rankings, so the numbers will change next to those teams.
But, the biggest highlight of Week 10 is that MACtion is back, baby! The Mid-American Conference has Tuesday and Wednesday games, as Conference USA moves back to Saturday slots and the craze that started it all with weeknight games takes center stage. We’ve got quite a lot to cover this week at VSiN.com and on our 24/7 VSiN broadcast channel, don’t we?

Week 10 College Football Odds Report
Lines as of Sunday, November 1 at 11:45 p.m. ET
Ohio (-12.5, 50.5) at Akron
Tuesday, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Neither game for Tuesday night has a remarkable number or any sort of outlier. This one is interesting because it is a 4-0 team in Ohio and an 0-4 team in Akron, who, despite my bold call this offseason, will not be making a bowl game. In the other game, Miami (OH) is about a touchdown favorite against Buffalo, even though both teams are 5-3 overall and 3-1 in league play. I just wanted to mention something about Tuesday.
Toledo (-25.5, 52.5) at Sacramento State
Wednesday, 7 p.m. ET (CBSSN)
This will be a 4 p.m. local start time for the Hornets against the Rockets, as they get a little bit of run on CBS Sports Network. Toledo is laying a massive road number here. I looked this one up on the KillerSports database and this is the first time since Week 5 of the 2021 season that Toledo was -21 or higher. They were actually -27.5 against UMass in that one. They won 45-7. However, against Bowling Green in 2019, the Rockets lost 20-7 as a 24.5-point favorite. Jason Candle had a knack for losing as a favorite, though not necessarily of this size. We’ll see how first-year head coach Mike Jacobs does in that role.
UTSA (-7, 71.5) at Florida Atlantic
Thursday, 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Florida Atlantic was part of the highest total of the season last week against North Texas and the game flew by every single number. The total opened up around 72.5 or 73 and was out to 77 and even 78 during the week. It didn’t matter. Oddsmakers couldn’t go high enough. Here, we have another total in the 70s, though not in the upper 70s. At least not yet. Who knows. We’ll see if we get the same runaway train of Over money. But any move up and this will be the second-highest total of the season.
New Mexico (-10.5, 39.5) at Nevada
Friday, 9 p.m. ET (CBSSN)
This game may need an asterisk depending on the sportsbook, but this has the chance to be New Mexico’s first time as a double-digit road favorite in back-to-back weeks. It would actually mark the fourth time this season that they’ve been a double-digit road favorite. They hadn’t been laying DD on the road since 2016, so Jason Eck’s team is definitely doing some special things. That said, they are just 1-2 in this role this season and came nowhere close to covering against San Jose State. That total of 39.5 sticks out like a sore thumb here as well.
BYU at Utah (-6, 47.5)
Saturday, Noon ET (ABC)
What a battle here, as the Cougars and Utes are No. 7 and No. 3, respectively, in the nation. The Cougars have won three in a row in the rivalry and won 22-21 back in 2024 when this game was last in Salt Lake City. This is the first time in history that this will be a top-10 matchup, even though both teams have had their fair share of seasons in which they’ve been ranked. This number was anywhere from 5.5 to 6.5 as of Sunday night. We will likely sit here for a while, as the court of public opinion soured on the Cougars when they lost to UCF. Ultimately, though, I think this line will drop.
UCLA (-6, 39.5) at Minnesota
Saturday, Noon ET (FOX)
Big Noon Kickoff in Minneapolis sure is an interesting game, as UCLA lays a pretty big number for a 9 a.m. body clock kick. We’ve seen our share of California teams in the Big Ten and ACC travel east for an early game and struggle. Will UCLA be part of that list? The Golden Gophers have already beaten Washington at home, Michigan, and Iowa, plus they took Indiana to overtime. They’ve been an extremely feisty underdog and low-scoring games are fine with them. I’m interested to see where this line goes, especially with a Bruins offense that struggles to score.
Texas (-3.5, 45.5) at Missouri
Saturday, Noon ET (ESPN)
Another early game that is just dripping with intrigue. I think you’d be hard-pressed to find people excited about laying this number with the current state of the Longhorns on the road. How good are the Tigers, though? They were hammered by Ole Miss and their win over Florida looks more fluky than anything else. Beating up on Texas A&M and Arkansas doesn’t do much for the court of public betting opinion. Great game, but I’m not sure this will be a great game from a handle standpoint for the books.
Iowa State at Baylor (-9.5, 51.5)
Saturday, Noon ET
Another noon kickoff. Baylor was an inspired football team following the dismissal of Dave Aranda, as they went out and slaughtered UCF on a short week. Iowa State is coming off of the biggest win of Jimmy Rogers’ first season in Ames, as the Cyclones outlasted Oklahoma State with a 51-49 track meet. That seems like the type of tiring game that produces a hangover. And Baylor hasn’t really been a favorite of this size much this season. I’m curious to see how the market feels about these two teams and this situation. Circa opened 10 and stayed there, but other shops were as low as 8.5.
Tulsa at Tulane (PK, 50)
Saturday, Noon ET
Another Saturday game here, as we’ve seen a pretty quick line move towards the Tulane side. Tulsa was a market-wide road favorite at open, and still was -1.5 at a lot of shops as of Sunday night, but Circa opened 2.5 and took some immediate Tulane hits at that opener. This is certainly not a big game and especially not going up against the other big games in that Noon ET window, but this is one where we saw a loud and clear position taken by bettors based on early action.
Alabama at LSU (-5.5, 52.5)
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
This game will get a lot of betting attention and deservedly so. I am very interested to see how this line is perceived. This is becoming a big number for LSU, but the Tigers are a team that stands out when playing at their best. I’m less sure about how much Alabama stands out these days. Circa actually opened this line 4 and got bet up. Truth be told, it doesn’t take much to move a number between 4 and 6, but it does seem as though the early money hitting on the LSU side of the line says a lot about how this game is being handicapped.
Georgia (-3.5, 56.5) at Ole Miss
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
This will undoubtedly be one of the highest volume games of the weekend. Circa opened this one with Georgia at 3.5 and the total at 56.5 and those two numbers seem to be working for their clientele for now. Most of the market had those numbers mirrored, with varying levels of juice on the 3.5. It is tough because Georgia has really only played one great team and lost to Alabama, but as I’ve discussed before with others, you have to respect the talent level.
Miami (FL) at Notre Dame (-4.5, 58)
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC)
Another mammoth game here. Circa opened this line 5 and 58, so maybe a little bit of initial Miami money on the board in this matchup. Neither Notre Dame nor Miami looked great last week, so this handicap is about trust and which team will be trusted more. Circa had the strongest line in the sand on Miami as of Sunday night at 4.5, while most of the rest of the market was at 5.5. We know that they do trend towards a sharper clientele, so is that indicative of what we will see throughout the rest of the week? Time will tell.
Hawaii (-9.5, 48) at UTEP
Saturday, 9:30 p.m. ET
How bad is UTEP? As things currently stand, Hawaii is a 9+ point road favorite for the first time since 2021 as a 17-point favorite against New Mexico State. The Rainbow Warriors have not even played particularly well this season, but they’re facing some lofty expectations in this one. They were -17 in that Week 4 game in 2021 and did cover the number. We’ll see if they’re able to do so here.
