NFL Odds Week 9

This week wraps up the first half of the 2026 NFL season, as we’ll complete Week 9 and then get into double digits with the 18-week campaign. By this point, we have a pretty good idea of what we’re dealing with for all 32 teams. The oddsmakers have a good idea of that, but also a great idea about their clienteles and the accounts that have been flagged as sharp. Injuries are the wild card, but we’re mostly seeing an environment now where the market should be pretty dialed in from the start.

That said, we can use what the market thought with the lookahead lines and then look at the adjusted numbers as of Sunday night. Sometimes we get too big of an overreaction. Other times, we get no change whatsoever. Let’s see what this week has in store in that regard.

Be sure to keep an eye on our DraftKings NFL Betting Splits and exclusive Circa NFL Betting Splits throughout the week.

Here is the Week 9 NFL Odds Report:

Jaguars (-8, 43.5) at Ravens

Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video)

We begin the week with Jacksonville and Baltimore, as the Jags have the short-week travel up the Atlantic seaboard a little bit. The status of Lamar Jackson basically dictates the line for Ravens games every single week, and it’s always interesting to see what it looks like when he was expected to be in and then will be out. It feels like he is endlessly dealing with some sort of ongoing injury. This season has been no different. Going into Week 8, Jackson’s Ravens were -3 in the lookahead market. After Jackson left hurt against the Bills, we saw the Jags move all the way to -9.5 at Circa for an opener. The market had settled in at 8.5 or 8 by evening.

Jaguars-Ravens Matchup

Bengals (-3, 51) vs. Falcons (Madrid)

Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET (NFL Network)

There was no Europe game last week, but we have one this week, as the Bengals and Falcons play in Spain. The situation leading into this game was certainly better for Cincinnati, hosting Tennessee as a big favorite. Atlanta, on the other hand, was on the road against Tampa Bay for a divisional matchup. This is the second game to be played in Madrid, as we had Washington vs. Miami last season, a game that even went to overtime. With the Bengals surviving against the Titans and the Falcons shut out in bad weather by the Bucs, this line went from Cincy -3 to 3.5 at some shops, or stayed 3 with extra vig.

Bengals-Falcons Matchup

Browns at Saints (-2.5, 43)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)

Not much was going to change with the well-rested Saints, who come into this game off the bye. The Browns are heading into this one off of a division rivalry game against the Steelers, where they were -3.5. We can debate the merits of the Saints being rated just one point below Pittsburgh on paper, but with home-field advantage and the travel situation, this line mostly implies that the teams would be a pick ‘em on a neutral. It is a third straight road game for Cleveland, so that’s factored in as well. The Saints were -2.5 on the lookahead and the Browns lost in ugly fashion to the Steelers, so the line mostly went to -3, with Circa holding -2.5, but with extra vig on the favorite.

Browns-Saints Matchup

Lions (-7, 49) at Dolphins

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

There was a difference of opinion with the lookahead number here, as Fanduel was as high as 8.5, while DraftKings and Circa were 7 with varying vig. It is one of those things where the difference between 7 and 8.5 isn’t really all that significant, especially with low betting limits on those lookahead lines, but it is certainly suggestive of where the public money is likely to come. With the Lions favored against the Vikings and the Dolphins a home underdog of about this size to the Patriots, we see this line now exactly the same, as Detroit won a close one and Miami lost, but covered.

Lions-Dolphins Matchup

Rams (-5, 48.5) at Commanders

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

This is a tough line to figure because you have a Rams team that simply has not lived up to expectations, but has to be respected week in and week out because of their sheer talent. It is not an ideal scenario with a cross-country trip and an early kickoff, but Washington is basically on a short week having played on Sunday Night Football. At least the Commanders were at home, but did play a division rival in the Eagles. DraftKings and Fanduel had this one 5.5 in the lookahead market, while Circa was at 5. After the Week 8 results, the line hadn’t moved much, though Washington did take care of business against Philly.

Rams-Commanders Matchup

Cowboys (-6.5, 52) at Colts

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

This is another intriguing line because the Cowboys aren’t a very good team, but we saw them get a lot of respect a couple weeks back against the Eagles, easily covering a number like this on Monday Night Football. Indy had a fire sale last week and there are more trades coming, as GM Chris Ballard was fired and the team looks to be rolling into a rebuild. So the vibes are not high in Indy, but who wants to lay this sort of number with Dallas? It’s also interesting that the Cowboys were about a TD favorite at home against the Cardinals last week and lost outright. After last week’s results, and considering more trade rumors with Indy, this line went from 4.5 to 6.5, which is nuts even though Dallas lost. The Colts were humiliated by the Jags, hence the line move here.

Cowboys-Colts Matchup

Giants (-2.5, 40.5) at Eagles

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

The Eagles have been freefalling down power ratings this season due to injuries. Saquon Barkley is nowhere near 100% and Jalen Hurts is out long-term with a blood clot issue. Also, the vibes around the team just aren’t good at all. The Giants as a road favorite against the Eagles is kind of crazy, isn’t it? Just how crazy? The Giants haven’t been a road favorite against the Eagles since the 2005 season. In fact, it has only happened six times since 1990. New York is well-rested off the bye and J.J. McCarthy actually looked like a competent starting QB the last time we saw him. With NYG resting and Philly coming off of a road Sunday Night Football game that they lost in ugly fashion.

Giants-Eagles Matchup

Jets at Chiefs (-10, 46.5)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)

To be honest, I’m a bit surprised that the lookahead line wasn’t bigger, seeing as how the Jets lost to the Dolphins back in Week 7. Then they were only a 1.5-point favorite against the Raiders, with Las Vegas on a four-game losing streak coming a long way east for an early kickoff. Honestly, anything under 10 seems like it would be a pretty automatic play for bettors on KC. That said, the Chiefs are off of playing the Broncos in the Mile High City in a big AFC West clash. This isn’t a lookahead spot, though, as the Falcons are next on the docket. We’ll see if anybody is actually interested in the Jets, with a lookahead number of 9.5 looking like 10 at Circa now. The biggest update is the total, which was 43.5 in the midweek markets last week and is now up at 46.5.

Jets-Chiefs Matchup

Broncos (-3, 43.5) at Panthers

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)

Denver has an early kick this week on the road in Charlotte, as the hobbled Panthers are trying to find warm bodies to play defensive back. Denver is off of that game against Kansas City and on a regular week. While Carolina is not playing well at all, at least they have a little extra prep after playing on Thursday Night Football. Still, that didn’t stop oddsmakers from making Denver a road favorite and a pretty clear one at that. WIth Week 8 results in, Denver moved from -2.5 to -3 at some places, but the total took a bit of a dive to 43.5.

Broncos-Panthers Matchup

Texans (-4.5, 42) at Chargers

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS)

We have more games in the 4 p.m. window than usual this week, but this is our only 4:05 contest. The Texans, who started the season 0-4 and are looking to make history as a result, hit the road for LA as a traveling favorite. The Chargers have been discarded and are basically being treated like one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. They’ve played like it, so it makes sense. But, this is a pretty rare spot for LAC. This is already the second time that they’ve been a home underdog this season. They were only a home pup once last season. It happened twice during the 2024 season. This is what you get when you’re playing poorly. With Houston off of a bye and the Chargers off of a game against their roommate Rams, the Texans moved up slightly, as the Chargers mustered just nine points this past week.

Texans-Chargers Matchup

Raiders at 49ers (-9.5, 51)

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS)

What used to be a Bay Area battle is now Las Vegas vs. San Francisco, as the 49ers come off of the bye as big favorites against the Raiders, who are on the road again. Vegas went all the way east to take on the Jets last week, but this week does represent a much shorter trip. This is a big game for the Raiders, who started 3-0 and then lost four in a row against much better competition. After playing the Jets last week, they’re back at it again against one of the league’s stronger clubs. The lookahead line was split here between 9.5 and 10.5 across most of the market. Now that the Raiders completed their Week 8 game, the total moving up is the most notable development here. They won 38-33 over the Jets, so that was a high-scoring affair and the thought is that this one might be as well.

Raiders-49ers Matchup

Packers at Patriots (-3, 47)

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX)

A rare late game in Foxboro for these two teams. New England played at Miami last week, while Green Bay took care of business early with a victory over the Panthers on Thursday Night Football. The extra rest is definitely valuable at this time of the year. While it was the Dolphins, New England is off of a division game here, but they should be ready for a clear step up in competition. With both teams now pointed towards this game, the line didn’t really move much off of the lookahead market. There were 2.5s and 3s as of Sunday night and that’s how things looked going into this past weekend.

Packers-Patriots Matchup

Bills (-2.5, 46) at Vikings

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC)

We’ve got a good Monday Night Football game here from a schematic standpoint. Josh Allen is mobile enough to evade the blitz and certainly big enough to see over traffic and deliver an accurate ball. On the other side, the Vikings are really trying to get their offense going and maybe this matchup at home against a Buffalo defense that got exposed a little bit by Baltimore will be a good opportunity to do that. Lookahead lines were -2.5 or -3 on Buffalo with varying juice. Based on what we saw last week, the total moved down from 47.5 to 46 after Minnesota played a low-scoring affair with Detroit.
