Week 14 College Football Predictions
The Game. The Iron Bowl. The Egg Bowl. They’re all finally here, as “rivalry week” kicks off and the college football regular season comes to a close. There are still plenty of conference championships and CFP hopes to sort out and finalize, so don’t let anyone tell you the regular season value has diminished in this expanded playoff era. Michigan looks to make it five in a row against Ohio State, Alabama is hoping to secure a CFP spot, and the world waits on Lane Kiffin’s future news like waiting on the winners of Wonka’s Golden Ticket in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” This week, historically, has been tough to bet because in rivalry games, the data matters less and the intangibles and unquantifiable factors seem to matter more, so volume will be much lower for me this year, but here are a couple early week bets I like from the T Shoe Index:
Editor’s Note: For those unfamiliar with the T-Score Index, a full explanation can be found here.
Georgia (-13) vs Georgia Tech, O/U 59.5
Georgia Tech is coming off a pretty embarrassing loss to Pitt last week, and now has to face rival Georgia with plenty of postseason implications for both teams on the line. Georgia has been much better in the second half of the season than it was in the early going, and has absolutely looked like a team that can compete for a national championship, especially offensively. TSI projects the Bulldogs -15, with all of my formulas averaging about UGA -16, including my market estimation of about -17. I think last year’s multi-OT thriller should be enough for Kirby to keep his team focused for this one. I think they take care of business against a scrappy Tech team.
College Football Pick: Georgia -13
Wisconsin (+2) vs Minnesota, O/U 37.5
Luke Fickell will return in 2026, despite a dreadful three-quarters of the season in 2025; however, in the last few games, Wisconsin has shown some fight and resiliency after beating Washington and Illinois. They’re now catching two points on the road against Minnesota, who is 0-4-1 ATS as a favorite this season and just 2-3-1 at home. Wisconsin is 3-1 ATS on the road and 4-3 ATS as a dog. TSI projects a pick ‘em here, so I’m going to grab the +2 before it disappears, as it already has offshore, and will probably have some ML in there as well.
College Football Pick: Wisconsin +2
