Delaware Park Picks:

We are excited to announce a renewed partnership with the fine folks and handicappers at 1/ST BET. Jeremy Plonk and Jeff Siegel will be sharing their expertise on a weekly basis to pass along some ponies that they like for races at various tracks around the country.

For this Wednesday, October 1 article, Jeremy Plonk shares everything you need to know for the racing card for Delaware Park.

Delaware Park | Race 4 | 2:21 pm ET

#7 Modern Miss (8-1 morning line odds) ran very well vs. similar quality competition at Monmouth in her debut on dirt. Her last try at Colonial Downs on turf wasn’t a total disaster, but it helps the price as she returns to dirt. Trainer Derek Ryan rarely shows up at Delaware with a 2-year-old but has three times with a maiden claimer like this in recent years and has left with a win and a runner-up among those.
Win-place bet #7.

Delaware Park | Race 7 | 3:57 pm ET

#1 Amendment (4-1 morning line odds) looks to be sitting on tilt while adding blinkers for the first time and moving to high-percentage jockey Jorge Ruiz. She catches a weak field and gets to save all the ground while having Kentucky raider and likely favorite #11 My Gal to beat, but plenty of tactical advantages over that rival.
Win bet #1.
