$75k N1X, Gulfstream Park, Race 4
Let’s start out with a nice turf race from Gulfstream Park! I’ve been tracking #4 Getting Serious since her debut in August. She clearly has the talent to be a stakes runner on the turf and was impressive last time breaking the maiden. She drew a nice field here that has some pace to chase and come back a little light. She’s the favorite, but she’s a good favorite.
#6 Haute Diva won in her only try on the turf and jumped right into the graded stakes level on the dirt. Now she returns to the turf and has speed, which makes her a player if she can get loose.
#5 Flowko is a price that has a shot to fire first time on turf. She is stretching out from a sprint, so I expect her to be forwardly placed. I do not fully trust the 4 goes. If she doesn’t, 20-1 on Flowko is interesting.
#1 Bert’s Knoty Girl won at this course and distance two back before trying a tough spot at Keeneland. She fits much better with this field and her trip projects to be very good saving ground with a stalking trip.
Top 4: 4-6-5-1
The Bets: $50 Win #4

$25k N1X, Gulfstream Park, Race #7
I am going to take a shot here with #4 Ruse. He has the races in his back class to win and should get a much better trip this time out than the previous two races. Ruse has enough early speed to stay relevant and should not be caught wide for the first time in a while. This is a weak field, so let’s fire away with a 15-1 price.
#8 Walley World has been the most consistent horse in the race. He is coming out of tougher races and has a win over the course. He is the most logical winner.
#11 Junction Road has been primarily a synthetic horse over in his career, but there is a turf race at Gulfstream that is good enough to fit here. The post stinks, but the 10-1 price is enticing.
#3 Gun Barrel City is the favorite off a win at Aqueduct last time out. He’s never gone this short of a distance which is concerning since he will be much further back than in either of the last two starts. I like the horse, but not the spot.
Top 4: 4-8-11-3-2
The Bets – $50 Win #4
