1/ST BET Horse Racing Predictions from Gulfstream and Los Alamitos:
We are excited to announce a renewed partnership with the fine folks and handicappers at 1/ST BET. Jeremy Plonk and Jeff Siegel will be sharing their expertise on a weekly basis to pass along some ponies that they like for races at various tracks around the country, including Oaklawn and Los Alamitos.
For this Sunday, December 15 article, Jeff Siegel shares everything you need to know for the racing card at Oaklawn Park and Los Alamitos.
OAKLAWN PARK RACE 6: Post: 2:50 PM CT Grade: B+
Top Selection/Prime Play: 4-Achieve (5-1)
Forecast: Well-regarded daughter of Justify launches a comeback after finishing third as the favorite in her only previous start last May at Churchill Downs (over a wet track) and quite likely will be a better type this time around for high profile connections. A recent solid series of workouts should have her fit and ready, so in what appears to be a moderate race for maiden two-year-olds this talented filly looks well spotted to graduate. At 5/2 on the morning line she’ll offer an attractive price on the tote and in the various rolling exotics.

LOS ALAMITOS RACE 4: Post: 1:59 PT Grade: B+
Top Selection/Prime Play: 5-Clampett
Forecast: Makes his second start after being re-claimed by high percentage trainer M. Glatt while remaining well above his purchase price in a sign of confidence, so we’re expecting a major effort by this consistent son of Flatter. Stretching out again to a mile after finishing a solid runner-up in a hot sprint at Santa Anita, the veteran gelding projects to be on or near the lead throughout, and with numbers that fit he looks ready to resume his winning form. There should be good value to be found at or near his morning line of 4-1.
