Sunday Betting Recaps

Sunday was your typical regular Sunday during the dog days of summer with golf, auto racing, soccer and WNBA in addition to a full 15-game MLB schedule.

For our purposes here, we mostly stick to the MLB betting results that we post nightly on Twitter @ViewFromVegas and then update the season-long betting stats.

MLB: Favorites went 9-6 on Sunday with the biggest upsets by the Angels (+165 in 3-2, 10-inning win at Blue Jays), Royals (+155 in 2-1 win vs. Twins), Reds (+150 in 9-0 win at Dodgers), Pirates (+132 in 6-4, 10-inning win vs. Phillies) and Rays (+120 in 8-2 win at Astros). Home teams went 10-5. Unders led 10-5.

More MLB: Faves lead 894-653 on the season with 26 games closing pick-’em. Home teams lead 823-746 overall with 4 neutral-site games, though road teams have been cutting into the lead the past few weeks. Unders improved slim lead to 767-743-62 with 1 no-action.
