In the meantime, let’s examine where smart money is leaning for Friday’s MLB slate…

5:10 p.m. ET: Milwaukee Brewers (-180, 9.5) at Cincinnati Reds

The Brewers (29-27) just dropped two of three at the Blue Jays, losing 3-2 on Thursday as +155 road dogs. Meanwhile, the Reds (26-30) just took two of three at the Red Sox but lost yesterday’s series finale 8-2 as +145 road dogs. In tonight’s early evening series opener, Milwaukee hands the ball to righty Corbin Burnes (4-4, 3.68 ERA) and Cincinnati counters with lefty Brandon Williamson (0-0, 5.02 ERA). This line opened with the Brewers listed as a -170 road favorite and the Reds a +155 home dog. Pros aren’t scared off by the expensive chalk and have steamed Milwaukee up from -170 to -180. The Brewers are receiving roughly 70% of bets and dollars, indicating a combination of both Pro and Joe support. Cincinnati is just 13-23 against righties this season. Sharps are also leaning over, as the total is 9.5 with the over juiced to -115, signaling a possible rise up to 10. The over is receiving 52% of bets but 69% of money, a sharp bet discrepancy. The Reds are 5-1 to the over their last six games. The over is 16-12 (57%) at Great American Ballpark this season.

7:10 p.m. ET: Tampa Bay Rays (-130, 9) at Boston Red Sox

The Rays (40-18) just dropped two of three at the Cubs but were able to win the series finale 4-3, taking care of business as -140 road favorites. Similarly, the Red Sox (29-27) dropped two of three at home against the Reds but won the series finale 8-2, cashing as -170 home favorites. In tonight’s series opener, Tampa Bay turns to righty Tyler Glasnow (0-0, 6.23 ERA) and Boston goes with fellow righty Garrett Whitlock (2-2, 5.14 ERA). This line opened with the Rays listed as a -120 road favorite and the Red Sox a +110 home dog. Sharps have pounced on Tampa Bay laying the short chalk price, steaming the Rays up from -120 to -130. Tampa Bay is receiving 70% of bets but 80% of money, a sharp Pro and Joe bet split in their favor. The Rays also have a rest advantage, as Tampa Bay was off yesterday while Boston played at home against the Reds. Tampa Bay is 5-0 after a day off this season. The Rays are 36-15 as a favorite and 31-15 against righties. The total is 9 with the over juiced to -115, signaling some over liability and a possible rise up to 9.5. The over is receiving 65% of bets and 89% of money, a sharp discrepancy. When two AL East opponents face off, the over is 31-15 (67%) this season.
