Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Monday, June 5th:

Houston Astros at Toronto Blue Jays (-125, 10)

Brandon Bielak has given up at least five hits in four of his six starts this season, but the righty has only given up three or more earned runs once. The 27-year-old has done a nice job of working himself out of jams, but he’ll eventually run into a team that doesn’t allow him to do so. And the Blue Jays just might be that squad, as they’re the favorites to win tonight’s game and it’s one that has a very high total.

Most of Bielak’s troubling starts this year have come on the road, with Houston actually losing all three of his road starts. Now, Bielak has to face a Blue Jays team that is explosive at home, and also very dangerous against right-handed pitching. Toronto is fourth in the league in wRC+ against righties this year, while also being fourth in OPS and sixth in slugging. This isn’t an offense that will be forgiving if Bielak is giving it chances.

Bet: Bielak Over 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-135)

Milwaukee Brewers at Cincinnati Reds (-125, 9.5)

Jake Fraley is batting .257 with seven homers and 37 RBIs this season, and it’s almost stunning how much of that production has come against right-handed pitching. All seven of Fraley’s homers and 35 of his RBIs have come against righties, and he has also hit seven doubles against right-handed pitching this season. With that in mind, Fraley is one of the guys to target for hitter props when you see a matchup you like on the mound. And I do think Cincinnati will find a way to get to Julio Teheran tonight.

Teheran has started two games for the Brewers this year, and he is an impressive 1-1 with a 0.82 ERA. However, the two-time All-Star no longer resembles the player he was with the Atlanta Braves. Teheran was never a player that averaged a ton of strikeouts per nine innings, but he did miss bats a lot more frequently than he does now — which is just part of missing significant time with injuries. But Teheran now pitches a bit more to contact, and that gives opponents more of a shot at doing some damage against him. And I think Fraley should be able to do some tonight, as Teheran is due for a poor outing.

Bet: Fraley Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)

St. Louis Cardinals at Texas Rangers (-135, 9.5)

Adam Wainwright is off to a tough start to the season, as he has a 6.15 ERA through five starts. Fortunately, his poor pitching hasn’t doomed the Cardinals, who have managed to win three of the five games he has started. But Wainwright’s poor form is the reason you see insanely low strikeout totals like the one he has tonight.

While Wainwright hasn’t looked sharp this season — something that should be expected of a 41-year-old veteran — I still think this number is too low. There’s no denying that having to face the Rangers in Texas is one of the most daunting matchups in baseball right now, but Wainwright is coming off a six-strikeout performance against the Kansas City Royals. And asking for four strikeouts out of a savvy starter like him really doesn’t seem unreasonable.

Bet: Wainwright Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-143)
