Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Monday, August 7th:

Miami Marlins (-155, 10.5) at Cincinnati Reds

While Elly De La Cruz is the most exciting De La Cruz in this game, I like Bryan De La Cruz to go Over 1.5 total bases in this one. This game has the highest total on the board today, so it should be pretty high scoring. And Miami is the team that is expected to win this contest, so some Marlins are going to need to come through at the plate. And De La Cruz seems like one of the better options.

Brandon Williamson is going to be starting for the Reds in this game, and the lefty has proven to be very hittable this season. That’s good news for De La Cruz, who is batting .292 with two homers, five doubles and 15 RBIs against left-handed pitching. De La Cruz strongly prefers facing southpaws, so he should be excited for this one. And I see him helping us cash with an extra base hit, although two singles would also do the trick.

Bet: B. De La Cruz Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

New York Yankees (-170, 7.5) at Chicago White Sox

Gerrit Cole is in a really nice groove for the Yankees right now, as he has allowed two or fewer earned runs in nine of his last 11 outings. Cole has also pitched at least 7.0 innings in three of his last five starts, and he has also done so in back-to-back outings. With that in mind, I like the ace to do it again against the White Sox tonight. Chicago has the second-lowest wRC+ in the league against righties this season, so it’s hard to see the White Sox getting to Cole much.

It’s also hard to ignore that Cole is 3-1 with a 2.26 ERA in nine road starts this season. So, he should be just fine playing on the road against this White Sox team. Cole’s arm should also be feeling pretty good after having thrown just 91 pitches in his last trip to the hill.

Bet: Cole Over 19.5 Outs Recorded (-108)

San Francisco Giants (-120, 8.5) at Los Angeles Angels

Patrick Sandoval has been pitching rather well for the Angels lately, as the lefty has allowed two or fewer earned runs in each of his last four starts. Now, Sandoval faces a Giants team that has the third-worst wRC+ in baseball against southpaws. So, even though Sandoval is a better pitcher on the road than he is at home, I like the lefty to go out and make a mark on this one. That’s why I’m taking him to go Over 5.5 strikeouts here.

Sandoval isn’t necessarily a pitcher that misses a ton of bats, but he has had five starts this season in which he has reached the six-strikeout mark. That said, this isn’t a mark that is unreachable for him. And San Francisco has the sixth-highest strikeout rate in the league against lefties, so he should be able to make these Giants hitters uncomfortable.

Bet: Sandoval Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-105)
