We’re in the final stretch of the 2023 MLB season and VSiN continues to have you covered with every way you can possibly bet on a baseball game. As always, Adam Burke will have daily best bets to give you some ideas of what to back when it comes to moneylines, run lines and totals. However, I’m tackling player props here, and I’m targeting Christian Yelich, Gerrit Cole and Travis d’Arnaud on Wednesday, August 30th. Keep reading to find out how I’m betting on all of them.

Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Wednesday, August 30th:

Milwaukee Brewers (-120, 7) at Chicago Cubs

This game has a really low total and might not be very high scoring, but I still like Christian Yelich to come through at the plate. Kyle Hendricks is the starter for the Cubs in this game and Yelich has had some success against The Professor in the past. Yelich is 11 for 47 with two doubles and two homers off Hendricks in his career, giving him the most success against the righty of anyone on Milwaukee. But most importantly, Yelich has just crushed righties all season long. He’s batting .304 with a triple, 27 doubles, 14 homers and 57 RBIs against right-handed pitching this year. That’s enough for me to want to play him to have at least three hits, runs and RBIs combined at +125 odds.

Bet: Yelich Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+125)

New York Yankees (-230, 7.5) at Detroit Tigers

Gerrit Cole is somebody that I have been backing a lot recently, as I think his outs recorded totals have been consistently low. The oddsmakers have essentially been calling for New York’s ace to pitch 6.0 or fewer innings every night, but he has gone 6.1 or more in five of his last seven starts. Tonight, I think he’ll do it again against a Tigers offense that is absolutely putrid. The only thing to worry about with Cole is that the Yankees might start being a little more careful with him, as they are quickly running out of time to make a push for the playoffs. But I don’t think New York is ready to throw the towel in just yet. So, I’m going to keep playing this number as long as it’s this low.

Bet: Cole Over 18.5 Outs Recorded (+150)

Atlanta Braves (-145, 13.5) at Colorado Rockies

I have been betting hitter props all throughout this series. On Monday, I hit on Ronald Acuna Jr. to have Over 0.5 RBIs. Unfortunately, I lost the same bet with Matt Olson on Tuesday. But I’m going right back to it tonight, and I’m playing Travis d’Arnaud this time. The 34-year-old catcher hasn’t had many opportunities to face left-handed pitching this year, but that’s what he’ll get in Kyle Freeland tonight. D’Arnaud is batting .300 with two doubles, a homer and six RBIs in 40 at-bats against lefties this year, and he has mashed against southpaws over the past few seasons. So, I don’t see much getting in the way of him driving in a run in this game, especially with this one being played at Coors Field. Freeland is just 5-13 with a 5.00 ERA this season, and his splits against righty hitters are brutal.

Bet: D’Arnaud Over 0.5 RBIs (+130)
