As always, Adam Burke will have daily best bets to give you some ideas of what to back when it comes to moneylines, run lines and totals. However, I’m tackling player props here, and I’m targeting Luis Severino, Alex Faedo and Ketel Marte on Tuesday, August 15th. Keep reading to find out how I’m betting on all of them.

Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Tuesday, August 15th:
New York Yankees at Atlanta Braves (-218, 10.5)
Luis Severino is 2-7 with an 8.06 ERA this season. The 29-year-old has allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last three starts, and he’s struggling for confidence in a big way right now. Now, Severino will have to go on the road and face the best offense in the entire league. Atlanta is first in MLB in wRC+ against righties — and lefties — this season. So, this one could get ugly.
The only thing to worry about here is that the Yankees could have a quick hook with Severino. The team has seen him get lit up in three consecutive outings, so Aaron Boone might not be willing to sit around and let him lose this game for them. But I think Severino will go at least a couple of innings in this one, and I don’t see Atlanta struggling to have success at the plate against him.
Bet: Severino Over 3.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-115)
Detroit Tigers at Minnesota Twins (-192, 8.5)
Alex Faedo is a former first-round pick for the Tigers, and he had something of a rough go in the minors. Faedo missed a lot of time in his stint in the minors, and he also had to undergo Tommy John surgery at one point. But the righty is now up with Detroit after a few years as a top-15 prospect in the system. The team is now hoping that he’ll have some good injury lucky moving forward and become a mainstay in the rotation.
Faedo doesn’t have overpowering stuff or anything, but he does have a nasty slider. And that’s a pitch that should allow him to rack up strikeouts against the Twins tonight. Minnesota has quite a few players that have trouble hitting that pitch, and his can be especially tricky. The Twins also have the highest strikeout rate in the league overall, so this is a good matchup regardless. And Faedo is a guy that has had a double-digit strikeout game already this season, so six strikeouts should be reachable.
Bet: Faedo Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+130)
Arizona Diamondbacks (-155, 12.5) at Colorado Rockies
This game has the highest total on the board, by far. So, when looking to attack batter props, it’s hard to look anywhere else but here. And considering all the options here, I love Ketel Marte to do some damage at the plate. I’m not sure exactly how he gets it done, but that’s why I’m going with his hits, runs and RBIs total. It presents us with a little wiggle room and is a better play than going with the Over on his total bases prop of 2.5.
The Rockies are starting lefty Ty Blach in this game, so Marte is already in a position where he should do some work here. He’s batting .299 with four homers and nine RBIs against lefties this season, so he’ll enjoy seeing a southpaw on the mound here.
It’s also important to remember that Marte is a switch hitter. That makes him a great guy to bet on in what might turn into a game in which Colorado throws multiple relievers.
Bet: Marte Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)
