Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman enters in great form with two earned runs or fewer in 13 of his past 18 starts, posting a 3.59 ERA with 8.8 strikeouts and 2.3 walks per nine innings during the regular season. He is supported by a lineup that leads the league in scoring since the All-Star Break with 5.6 runs per game between the second half of the regular season and postseason. Mariners starting pitcher Bryce Miller posted a 5.68 ERA with 1.7 home runs and 3.4 walks per nine innings during the regular season. He gave up seven runs in five innings in his lone start against the Blue Jays this season.
