Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers
Mariners starting pitcher Bryce Miller has struggled this season, posting a 5.68 ERA with only 7.4 strikeouts per nine innings while allowing 1.7 home runs and 3.4 walks per nine. Tigers starting pitcher Casey Mize has been steadier, carrying a 3.85 ERA between the regular season and playoffs with 1.3 home runs and 2.3 walks allowed per nine innings. Both offenses have been productive this season — the Mariners rank third in scoring on the road with 5.1 runs per game, and the Tigers rank seventh in scoring at home with 4.9 runs per game — but conditions in Detroit are cooling down, which could suppress offense.
Picks: Tigers Moneyline -120 and Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Tigers -140 and Total 7.6)

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs
Brewers starting pitcher Quinn Priester has a 3.32 ERA despite a 4.06 fielding independent pitching mark, with only 7.6 strikeouts per nine innings. He faces a Cubs lineup averaging 4.1 runs per game since the All-Star Break across regular season and playoff contests and will benefit from the wind blowing in. Cubs starting pitcher Jameson Taillon enters in much better form than his 3.68 regular-season ERA would suggest, allowing two runs or fewer in each of his past eight starts. Like Priester, Taillon should also benefit from the wind blowing in, which could help offset his 1.6 home runs allowed per nine innings this season.
Picks: Cubs Moneyline -118 and Under 7 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Cubs -123 and Total 6.4)

Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees
Yankees starting pitcher Cam Schlittler owns a 2.63 ERA between the regular season and playoffs with over 10.5 strikeouts per nine innings. However, his 3.74 fielding independent mark and 3.4 walks per nine innings from the regular season suggest some regression potential. He faces a Blue Jays lineup that leads the American League in scoring since the All-Star Break with over 5.5 runs per game. Toronto is expected to use a wholesale pitching approach to try to contain a Yankees lineup that leads the league in both home runs and overall scoring at 5.2 runs per game.
Picks Yankees Moneyline -155 and Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Yankees -157 and Total 7.8)
9:08 PM Eastern
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola has endured the worst season of his career, posting a 6.01 ERA with 1.7 home runs allowed per nine innings. He has allowed at least four runs in seven of his past 10 starts and now faces a Dodgers lineup that leads the league in scoring at home with over 5.5 runs per game. Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto owns a 2.40 ERA this season with 10.5 strikeouts and just 0.7 home runs allowed per nine innings, entering this matchup having given up only three earned runs across his past six starts.
Picks: Dodgers Run Line -1.5 (+125) and Over 7.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Dodgers -1.5 +111 and Total 8.1)
