Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman enters in great form, allowing two earned runs or fewer in 15 of his past 20 starts. Between the regular season and postseason, he’s posted a 3.43 ERA with 8.6 strikeouts and 2.5 walks per nine innings. He’s supported by a lineup that leads the league in scoring since the All-Star Break with 5.6 runs per game. On the other side, Dodgers starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto owns a 2.42 ERA between the regular season and playoffs with 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings. His ERA dips to 2.04 on the road, where he’s allowed fewer than 0.6 home runs per nine innings. With Game One being a blowout, the Dodgers’ high-leverage relievers are also rested.
Picks: Dodgers Moneyline -128 and Under 7.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Dodgers -131 and Total 6.9)
