Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago White Sox

White Sox starting pitcher Shane Smith has a 4.25 ERA this season, with 8.4 strikeouts and 4.1 walks per nine innings. He’s backed by an offense that ranks 27th in road scoring, averaging fewer than 3.7 runs per game. On the other side, Mariners starter Logan Gilbert holds a 3.45 ERA, supported by an excellent 2.75 fielding independent and 12.9 strikeouts per nine innings. The Mariners lineup ranks 11th in overall scoring with over 4.5 runs per game.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Paul Skenes has been dominant this season, posting a 2.02 ERA with 10 strikeouts and just 0.5 home runs allowed per nine innings. However, he’s backed by the league’s lowest-scoring offense, averaging only 3.55 runs per game. The Reds, meanwhile, rank eighth in road scoring with over 4.6 runs per game. Starting pitcher Brady Singer has a 4.36 ERA and 3.4 walks per nine innings allowed, but he’s held opponents to three runs or fewer in 12 of his last 14 starts.

Picks: Reds Moneyline +155 and Under 7 Runs (Greg’s Handicaps: Reds +155, Total 6.8)
