Colorado Rockies vs. Baltimore Orioles

Rockies starting pitcher Austin Gomber has struggled this season with a 6.03 ERA and 1.8 home runs allowed per nine innings. However, his ERA improves to 3.86 on the road, with fewer than 1.3 home runs allowed per nine innings. Still, the Rockies offense ranks 29th in road run production, averaging just three runs per game away from home. Orioles starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano has a 4.54 ERA with 1.7 home runs allowed per nine innings this season.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Boston Red Sox

It has been a tough season for Red Sox starting pitcher Walker Buehler, who holds a 5.72 ERA with 1.8 home runs and 3.8 walks allowed per nine innings. Dodgers starter Dustin May has had his own issues, with a 4.73 ERA, 1.4 home runs, and 3.9 walks per nine innings. He is backed by a Dodgers offense that leads the league with 5.3 runs per game.

Oakland Athletics vs. Houston Astros

Astros starting pitcher Colton Gordon has a 4.53 ERA this season with 1.7 home runs allowed per nine innings, which increases to a 4.78 ERA at home. Athletics starter JT Ginn has split time between starting and relieving, posting a 4.50 ERA while allowing 2.1 home runs per nine innings. He’s supported by a bullpen with a 5.44 ERA—29th in the league.

Padres starter Stephen Kolek is also a pitch-to-contact arm, posting a 4.28 ERA with 6.6 strikeouts per nine innings, while limiting home runs (0.9 HR/9) and walks (2.8 BB/9). He’s backed by a bullpen with the best ERA in the league (3.10), though the Padres lineup ranks 28th in home runs per at-bat, compared to the Cardinals at 22nd.

Atlanta Braves vs. Texas Rangers

Braves starter Bryce Elder has struggled with a 5.63 ERA, along with 1.7 home runs and 3.3 walks allowed per nine innings. He’ll face a Rangers lineup that entered Saturday tied for second in league scoring for July, averaging over 5.7 runs per game through 19 games.
