Angels starting pitcher Jack Kochanowicz has a 5.44 ERA, allowing 1.6 home runs and 4.2 walks per nine innings. The Angels bullpen has a 5.22 ERA, which ranks 27th in the league. They face a Blue Jays lineup that leads the American League in home scoring with 5.4 runs per game. Toronto’s starter, Max Scherzer, has allowed five runs in 10 innings over his two starts since returning from the injured list.

Greg’s Handicap: Blue Jays -1.5 -113

Boston Red Sox vs. Washington Nationals

Red Sox starter Walker Buehler has struggled this season with a 6.45 ERA and two home runs allowed per nine innings. However, he’s backed by a bullpen with a 3.62 ERA, ranked seventh in the league. On the other side, Nationals starter Mitchell Parker has a 4.63 ERA and has given up three or more runs in three of his past four starts. Washington’s bullpen ranks dead last with a 5.91 ERA.

Play: Red Sox Moneyline -107 and Under 10 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Red Sox -132 and Total 9.7

4:10 PM Eastern

New York Yankees vs. New York Mets

Yankees starter Carlos Rodón has been steady with a 2.95 ERA and 1.1 home runs allowed per nine innings. He’s been even better recently, posting a 2.67 ERA with fewer than 0.7 home runs per nine. Mets starter Frankie Montas carries a 6.00 ERA but is striking out 10 batters per nine innings.

Play: Under 9 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Total 8.3

7:15 PM Eastern

Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians

Guardians starter Logan Allen owns a 4.27 ERA, allowing just one home run per nine innings. Tigers starter Casey Mize has been strong with a 2.86 ERA and just 2.2 walks per nine. He’ll face a Guardians offense that ranks 29th in home scoring, averaging only 3.6 runs per game.

Play: Under 9 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Total 8.2

Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers’ starting pitcher has yet to go more than two innings in a game, leaving much of the work to a bullpen with a 4.16 ERA (21st in the league). Astros starter Framber Valdez has a 2.72 ERA and has allowed just eight total runs over his past seven starts. He’s backed by a bullpen with a 3.31 ERA, third-best in the league.

Play: Astros Moneyline +131
Greg’s Handicap: Astros +114

9:10 PM Eastern

Chicago White Sox vs. Colorado Rockies

Rockies starter Germán Márquez has a 5.62 ERA on the season but has allowed just three earned runs in his last four games. His 4.34 FIP and 1.1 home runs per nine suggest positive regression is on the horizon. He faces a White Sox lineup averaging just 2.9 runs per game on the road—last in the league. White Sox starter Jonathan Cannon has a 4.59 ERA and gets a Rockies lineup scoring 4.1 runs per game (19th in MLB).

Play: Under 11.5 Runs
Greg’s Handicap: Total 10.8
