4:05 PM Eastern

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Phillies starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez has been more than solid this season with a 3.10 ERA and 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings while allowing only 0.9 home runs per nine innings. Blue Jays starting pitcher Bowden Francis is second in the league in home runs allowed with 19 and is bolstering a 6.12 ERA, all while also issuing 3.6 walks per nine innings.

Pick: Phillies Run Line -1.5 +125 (Greg’s Handicap Phillies -1.5 -111)

4:10 PM Eastern

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Cardinals starting pitcher Andre Pallante owns a 4.75 ERA with only 5.9 strikeouts per nine innings and 1.4 home runs per nine innings allowed. Brewers starting pitcher Jose Quintana appears due for regression: supplying a 2.66 ERA this season, but a 4.37 fielding independent with 6.3 strikeouts, and 3.7 walks per nine innings allowed, and the Brewers’ 4.34 bullpen ERA ranks 21st.

Picks: Brewers Moneyline -118 Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Brewers -136 and Total 8.8)

Minnesota Twins vs. Houston Astros

Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown is posting a 1.82 ERA with 10.6 strikeouts and 0.7 home runs allowed per nine innings and has allowed one or zero runs in nine of his past 11 starts. Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan comes in having let up at least three total runs (earned and unearned) in three of his past four starts and has struggled with allowing hard contact on the road. He posts a lifetime ERA of 3.64 at home with under 1.3 home runs per nine innings rate compared to a 3.96 ERA on the road with over 1.5 home runs per nine innings allowed.

Pick: Astros Moneyline -120 (Greg’s Handicap Astros -142)

Colorado Rockies vs. Atlanta Braves

Rockies starting pitcher Chase Dollander owns a rough 6.85 ERA overall, but that falls to a 4.50 ERA away from home, with 1.5 home runs per nine innings allowed away from home compared to 3.5 home runs per nine innings allowed at home. He is backed up by a lineup that entered Friday hitting below .200 away from home with a league-worst 2.5 runs per game away from home, which should help Braves starting pitcher Spencer Strider find his groove after posting a 5.40 ERA through his first five starts of the season.

Pick: Colorado Rockies vs. Atlanta Braves Under 9 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total 8.2)

Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Mets

Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill has a 3.76 ERA and 3.15 fielding independent with 11.7 strikeouts per nine innings and just 0.7 home runs per nine innings while being backed up by a bullpen that ranks second in the league in ERA at 2.89. Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen owns a 2.22 ERA, but a 3.24 fielding independent with only 7.7 strikeouts per nine innings. He has to face a Mets lineup that is seventh in scoring with over 4.6 runs per game.

Pick: Mets Moneyline -130 (Greg’s Handicap Mets -152)

9:40 PM Eastern

Cleveland Guardians vs. Seattle Mariners

Guardians starting pitcher Tanner Bibee has a respectable 3.81 ERA but a 4.83 fielding independent with 1.7 home runs per nine innings allowed and balloons up to a 4.99 ERA on the road with 2.5 home runs per nine innings allowed. While George Kirby has a 6.38 ERA, he’s coming off the best of his four starts of the season, allowing two runs with 14 strikeouts against the Angels last weekend.

Picks: Mariners Moneyline -130 and Over 7 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Mariners -142 and Total 7.8)
