Philadelphia Phillies vs. Miami Marlins

Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara has had a rough season, posting a 7.14 ERA with 1.1 home runs and 4.4 walks per nine innings. He is backed up by a bullpen that ranks 26th in ERA at 4.71. Phillies starting pitcher Mick Abel has dazzled in a small sample size, posting a 2.35 ERA with 8.2 strikeouts and 1.8 walks allowed per nine innings. He faces a lineup that ranks 24th in the league in runs per game at home with 3.8 and has the fewest home runs per game of any National League team.

Picks: Phillies Moneyline -122 and Under 8,5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Phillies -174 and Total 8.2)

Colorado Rockies vs. Washington Nationals

While Nationals starting pitcher Jake Irvin has had a rough season, supplying a 4.21 ERA with just 5.8 strikeouts per nine innings and 1.4 home runs allowed per nine innings, the Rockies are last in scoring runs on the road with 2.5 runs per game. Rockies starting pitcher Carson Palmquist owns a 7.77 ERA with two home runs and 5.3 walks per nine innings allowed.

Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Yankees

While Angels starting pitcher Jose Soriano has been exceptional at keeping the ball in the year, allowing only three home runs in 79 1/3 innings, he is still posting a 3.86 ERA with 7.3 strikeouts and 4.4 walks per nine innings. He is backed up by a bullpen whose 5.38 ERA ranks 28th in the league. Yankees starting pitcher Clarke Schmidt owns a 3.60 ERA with 9.3 strikeouts and one home run allowed per nine innings. He is supported by a lineup that leads the American League with 5.5 runs per game at home.

Picks: Yankees Run Line -1.5 +105 and Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Yankees -1.5 -122 and Total 9.4)

Boston Red Sox vs. Seattle Mariners

Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert has been solid in his starts this season with a 2.35 ERA, but rust will likely come into play on Monday with this being his first start on an MLB mound since April 25. He faces a Red Sox lineup that ranks fifth in run creation with 4.9 runs per game, though they did trade Rafael Devers on Sunday. Red Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito enters with a 5.45 ERA with 1.4 home runs and 3.2 walks per nine innings allowed this season.

Pick: Boston Red Sox vs. Seattle Mariners Over 7.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total 8.1)
