1:05 PM Eastern

Colorado Rockies vs. Washington Nationals

Even with the Rockies bursting out for 10+ runs twice this week, the team is last in the league in road on-base percentage and road run creation with 2.8 runs per game. Nationals starting pitcher Trevor Williams owns a 5.71 ERA. His fielding independent is 3.89 with 2.2 walks and one home run per nine innings allowed. Rockies starting pitcher Chase Dollander owns a rough 6.57 ERA with 2.3 home runs and 4.4 walks per nine innings.
MLB Picks: Nationals Run Line -1.5 +125 and Under 9.5 Runs (Greg’s Nationals -1.5 -115 and Total 8.2)

2:10 PM Eastern

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago White Sox

Cardinals starting pitcher Erick Fedde had done a good job of working around his 3.7 walks per nine innings with a 3.69 ERA and 0.7 home runs per nine innings. White Sox starting pitcher Sean Burke has a 4.71 ERA overall this season, but that falls to a 3.68 at home. He is backed up by a lineup that ranks 27th in scoring with just over 3.4 runs per game.
MLB Pick: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago White Sox Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total 8.1)

3:07 PM Eastern

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Diamondbacks starting pitcher Ryne Nelson has a 4.14 ERA overall this season, but has been a totally different pitcher away from home with that road ERA ballooning to 7.50. Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman has allowed at least three runs in seven of his past 10 starts with a 4.03 ERA, but the 3.51 fielding independent with 1.1 home runs and 2.3 walks per nine innings are a sign of positivity. He is backed up by the Blue Jays bullpen which ranks 11th in ERA with a 3.65 ERA, while the Diamondbacks are 27th with a 5.24 ERA.
MLB Pick: Blue Jays Run Line -1.5 (Greg’s Handicap Blue Jays -1.5 +114)

4:05 PM Eastern

Cleveland Guardians vs. San Francisco Giants

Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb has been dominant this season with a 2.58 ERA and 2.33 fielding independent with 1.9 walks and 0.6 home runs per nine innings. He is backed up by a bullpen whose 2.64 ERA leads the league. Guardians starting pitcher Gavin Williams owns a 3.89 ERA with a 4.59 fielding independent, allowing 1.3 home runs and 5.1 walks per nine innings.
MLB Pick: Giants Run Line -1.5 +135 (Greg’s Handicap Giants -1.5 -113)

6:40 PM Eastern

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Miami Marlins

Phillies starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez owns a 3.05 ERA with a 3.24 fielding independent with 0.8 home runs and 9.9 strikeouts per nine innings. He is backed by a bullpen whose 4.56 ERA ranks 24th. The Marlins’ 4.58 bullpen ERA ranks 25th. Starting pitcher Edward Cabrera owns a 4.10 ERA with 3.9 walks per nine innings, with his ERA going to 4.34 when at home.

7:15 PM Eastern

Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets

Braves starting pitcher Spencer Strider is coming off a dominant 13-strikeout performance against the Colorado Rockies in his past start, but the Braves are just 1-5 in his starts. Strider posts a 4.35 ERA with 1.5 home runs and 3.5 walks per nine innings allowed. Mets starting pitcher Clay Holmes has a 2.87 ERA with one home run per nine innings allowed. He is backed up by a Mets bullpen whose 3.08 ERA ranks third in the league.
