Top MLB Resources:
4:07 PM Eastern
Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels
Angels starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi owns a 3.01 ERA, but a 4.20 fielding independent with 4.3 walks per nine innings. That could drive up his pitch count and lead to a lot of usage for an Angels bullpen whose 5.29 ERA ranks 28th in the league. Richard Fitts gets the start for the Red Sox. Fitts has been injured often this season, but in 11 career MLB appearances has a 3.24 ERA with 1.1 home runs per nine innings. He faces an Angels lineup that is second in the league in home runs per at-bat, but is also last in on-base percentage at home.
MLB Picks: Red Sox Moneyline +110 and Under 9 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Red Sox -102 and Total 8.3)
6:40 PM Eastern
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Cleveland Guardians
Blue Jays starting pitcher Max Scherzer is making his first start since March 29, when he gave up two runs in three innings in his first start of the season. Guardians starting pitcher Gavin Williams has a solid 3.58 ERA, but owns a 4.48 fielding independent with five walks and 1.2 home runs allowed per nine innings. He faces a Blue Jays lineup that ranks 14th out of 15 American League teams in road scoring with 3.4 runs per game.
MLB Picks: Guardians Moneyline +102 and Over 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Guardians -143 and Total 8.8)
7:10 PM Eastern
New York Yankees vs. Cincinnati Reds
Reds starting pitcher Brady Singer seems to be rounding into form with two runs or fewer allowed in four of his past five starts. Singer faces a Yankees lineup that entered Tuesday having scored four runs or fewer in 10 of their previous 12 games. Max Fried has been dominant, posting a 2.05 ERA with 0.6 home runs and 1.8 walks per nine innings with three earned runs or fewer allowed in all but one of his starts this season.
MLB Picks: Reds Moneyline +195 and Under 9.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Reds +the 172 and Total 8.6)
Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets
Braves starting pitcher Didier Fuentes is making his second career start at the MLB level after making only one start at the AAA level. He is coming off of giving up four runs in five innings in his MLB debut. Mets starting pitcher Clay Holmes has a 3.04 ERA with just one home run allowed per nine innings. He is backed up by a bullpen that ranks fifth in ERA at 3.29. The Braves bullpen is 14th with a 3.70 ERA.
MLB Picks: Mets Moneyline -135 and Under 9.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Mets Moneyline -159 and Total 8.9)
7:40 PM Eastern
Tampa Bay Rays vs. Kansas City Royals
Royals starting pitcher Michael Wacha has been superb at inducing soft contact, posting a 3.24 ERA with 0.9 home runs and 2.3 walks per nine innings. Wacha is backed by a bullpen that ranks 10th in ERA at 3.54. The Rays bullpen ranks third in ERA at 3.29. Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen has a 2.61 ERA with 0.9 home runs and two walks per nine innings. He faces a Royals lineup that ranks last in scoring at home with 2.9 runs per game.
MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays vs. Kansas City Royals Under 9 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total 8.2)
Seattle Mariners vs. Minnesota Twins
The Twins entered Tuesday having lost nine of their last 10 games. They face George Kirby of the Mariners. Kirby has allowed two runs or fewer in three of his past four starts after being shaky coming off the injured list, with the lone slip-up coming in a blustery Wrigley Field environment. Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan owns a 3.06 ERA, but has allowed at least three runs in three of his last four starts. Entering Tuesday, the Twins bullpen owned a 5.06 ERA since May 1, which ranks 25th in the league.
MLB Picks: Mariners Moneyline +112 and Over 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Mariners -107 and Total 8.2)
8:40 PM Eastern
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies
Rockies starting pitcher Chase Dollander owns a rough 6.18 ERA with 2.2 home runs and four walks per nine innings, which shoots up to a 9.58 ERA with 3.5 home runs per nine innings allowed at Coors Field. He faces a Dodgers lineup that leads the league with 5.6 runs. Dodgers starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto owns a 2.76 ERA, but has allowed at least three runs in three of his past four starts. Yamamoto has to pitch at the ballpark that elevates offense more than any other in the league.
MLB Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies Over 10.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total 11.2)
