Athletics vs. New York Yankees

Yankees starting pitcher Will Warren owns a 4.66 ERA. Though he has a 2.87 fielding independent, his command gets him in trouble with 3.7 walks per nine innings. Athletics starting pitcher Mitch Spence owns a 3.84 ERA. He has to face a Yankees lineup that is fourth in scoring with nearly 5.1 runs per game. The Yankees will face an Athletics bullpen that is last in the league in ERA at 5.96.
MLB Pick: Athletics vs. New York Yankees Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total 9.3)

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Baltimore Orioles

Rays starting pitcher Ryan Pepiot owns a 3.04 ERA with three runs or fewer allowed in 12 straight starts and 8.7 strikeouts to 2.7 walks per nine innings. Orioles starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano owns a 3.55 ERA, but has a 4.81 fielding independent. Sugano is allowing 1.5 home runs per nine innings with only 5.4 strikeouts per nine innings and is backed by a bullpen that ranks 24th with a 4.47 ERA. The Rays’ bullpen is third with a 3.29 ERA.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cleveland Guardians

Cardinals starting pitcher Sonny Gray owns a 3.72 ERA with 9.6 strikeouts and 1.8 walks per nine innings for a 3.19 fielding independent. Guardians starting pitcher Luis Ortiz has a 4.30 ERA with 10 strikeouts and 1.1 home runs allowed per nine innings while being supported by a lineup that ranks 25th in the league with 3.8 runs per game.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox

Blue Jays starting pitcher Jose Berrios has big home and road splits, posting a lifetime 3.53 ERA with less than a home run allowed per nine innings and nine strikeouts per nine innings. That’s compared to a 4.56 ERA with just under 1.5 home runs allowed and eight strikeouts per nine innings away from home. Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello has a 3.31 ERA, but a 4.42 fielding independent with seven strikeouts and four walks per nine innings. A lineup without Rafael Devers backs him that is seventh in scoring at home with over five runs per game.
MLB Picks: Red Sox Moneyline -102 and Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap Red Sox -126 and Total 9.3)

8:10 PM Eastern

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Kansas City Royals

Dodgers starting pitcher Dustin May owns a 4.46 ERA with 8.2 strikeouts per nine innings this season. He has allowed three runs or fewer in five of his past six starts. He faces a Royals offense that is last in the league in home run production with under 2.9 runs per game. Royals starting pitcher Noah Cameron owns a 2.08 ERA with two runs or fewer in seven of his eight starts this season.
