3:10 PM Eastern

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Colorado Rockies

The Rockies’ offense is averaging just 3.3 runs per game, ranking 27th in the league. Even at Coors Field, that number rises only slightly to just under 4.3 runs per game. They face Phillies starter Ranger Suárez, who has allowed just three total runs across 14 innings in his past two starts. Rockies starter Germán Márquez owns an 8.78 ERA, but his fielding independent pitching (FIP) is a much lower 4.84, with 0.9 home runs and 3.6 walks per nine innings.

Pick: Phillies vs. Rockies Under 11.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 10.3)

6:40 PM Eastern

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers are expected to start Carlos Rodriguez, who has a 1.99 ERA across nine appearances for AAA Nashville this season. The Pirates will give Mike Burrows his first career MLB start; he has posted a 2.51 ERA with 11.4 strikeouts per nine innings at AAA this year. The Pirates have scored four runs or fewer in 26 straight games, the longest such streak in the live-ball era.

Pick: Pirates vs. Brewers Under 9 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 8.3)

6:45 PM Eastern

Baltimore Orioles vs. Boston Red Sox

Orioles starter Cade Povich carries a 5.23 ERA, allowing 1.7 home runs and three walks per nine innings. Lucas Giolito gets the start for the Red Sox and enters with a 7.08 ERA and 2.2 home runs allowed per nine innings. However, he faces an Orioles lineup averaging just 3.2 runs per game on the road, which ranks 27th in the league.

Picks: Red Sox Moneyline -112 and Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Red Sox -206 and Total 9.6)

8:10 PM Eastern

Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros

Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. has struggled since returning, posting a 7.88 ERA in three starts with only eight total innings pitched. Mariners starter George Kirby is making his first start of the season after nearly two months on the injured list and has been shaky in his rehab outings for AAA Tacoma, posting a 7.20 ERA across three appearances.

Picks: Astros Moneyline +121 and Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Astros +111 and Total 8.8)
